Corner to Barcelona as Nelson Semedo's cross is turned behind.

  2. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Barcelona 0-0 Espanyol

When Barcelona have the ball Espanyol have a bank of five with four in front of them. It's hard for the hosts to get in behind them.

  3. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Barcelona 0-0 Espanyol

First big chance and it's to Espanyol. Adrian Embarba chases onto a long ball from the halfway line, holds off a couple of defenders and shoots but it's saved by the legs of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

John Patton: Barcelona should give Marcelo Gallardo a go, really promising manager.

  5. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Barcelona 0-0 Espanyol

First proper attack as Luis Suarez charges into the box from Lionel Messi's pass. He tries to pull it across but Bernardo Espinosa - once of Middlesbrough - intercepts and clears.

    Barcelona 0-0 Espanyol

I watched Barcelona's game against Villarreal the other day and they were brilliant. Antoine Griezmann really appeared to click with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, which hasn't happened much this season.

Xavi signed a new contract as Al Sadd manager the other day - although it apparently has a Barcelona clause.

Stephen Hutchings: Barca need a new coach, and a new midfield, plus a decent centre back to play with Pique, Xavi knows the philosophy of the club and would be ideal, its a waste of another amazing Messi season unless they win the champions league.

Espanyol are on their fourth manager of the season in sporting director Francisco Rufete, who took over about 10 days ago.

David Gallego (June to October), Pablo Machin (October to December) and Abelardo Fernandez (December to June) have all been sacked this season.

  10. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Barcelona 0-0 Espanyol

Barcelona are dominating possession as you'd expect. Espanyol are just chasing.

Nicholas Kamulegeya: It won't be an easy tie for Barca, but they will win this time round after dropping points in the last game.

    Barcelona v Espanyol (21:00 BST)

Barcelona, sensibly, keep most of the team who blew Villarreal away in their last La Liga game.

Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez start up front.

The only change sees Ivan Rakitic replace Arturo Vidal in midfield.

    Barcelona v Espanyol (21:00 BST)

Barcelona need to win all their four games, realistically, and hope Real Madrid lose a couple - or draw most of their games.

City neighbours Espanyol's relegation will be confirmed if they fail to win this one. It's probably only a matter of when anyway - they are 11 points adrift with four games to go.

Barcelona are four points behind Real Madrid with four games to go.

Quique Setien has only been in charge for 19 games - but his future is already uncertain.

There is a suggestion that he might not even be in charge for next month's Champions League games if they don't play well in their final La Liga games.
