  2. Barca move within a point of Real Madridpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 11 July 2020

    FT: Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

That Barcelona win takes them within a point of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.

And it also stops their great rivals from being able to win the title at Granada on Monday.

All over. Can see a few relieved faces on the Barcelona bench.

  4. Postpublished at 90 +3 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Pretty much all Valladolid now but the Pucelanos just can't get a clear sight of goal.

Four minutes added. Barca hanging on.

  6. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Barca are being tested here and so is Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The German parries a rasping Sandro Ramirez shot at his near post.

    Will that see Barca through?

  7. Postpublished at 87 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Barca just struggling to put this one to bed.

Sandro Ramirez tries his luck from distance for the hosts but that's dreadful.

  8. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

    This looks dangerous...

Lionel Messi collects the ball on the right and drifts inside ghosting past a defender.

The Argentine superstar tries to work a position for one of his trademark shots into the bottom bin but is eventually crowded out.

  9. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Didn't see exactly why but it looks as though Barca's Jordi Alba has picked up a booking for dissent.

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

    Was that a handball?

Valladolid players have their arms up and seem to be suggesting that Junior Firpo handled in the box there.

Didn't look a pen to me and the referee, Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz, agrees.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Oscar Plano is replaced by Waldo Rubio for the hosts. One attacking midfielder for another.

  12. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

We're heading towards another 'cooling break' as Gerard Pique directs a header towards the Valladolid goal.

He can't generate any power on that though and it looks like he's complaining that he was being held down. Nothing doing there though. Move on says the ref.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 74 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Sergio Busquets trots off to be replaced by Junior Firpo for Barca.

  14. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Just a few signs that the home side are gaining the upper hand.

Barca need to be careful here. As I type that Nacho tries his luck from outside the box but that flies well wide of Marc-Andre ter Stegen's goal.

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Can Lionel Messi put the game to bed here for Barcelona? No. The Argentine's effort swerves and dips but home keeper Jordi Masip gets over to tip it away from his top left corner.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 60 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

That's superb from Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The Barca keeper has barely been needed but when required he comes to the rescue.

Valladolid swing a free-kick in from the right and Enes Unal produces a brilliant textbook header - down and back across goal - but the German is there to tip it to safety.

Another change for the hosts. Sergi Guardiola goes off to be replaced by Sandro Ramirez.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 57 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

    Couple of changes for Barcelona.

Riqui Puig and Clement Lenglet make way for Ivan Rakitic and Ronald Araujo.

  18. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

Remember, if Barcelona don't win here Real Madrid will clinch the title with two games to spare by beating Granada on Monday at Los Carmenes.

  19. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

That's not bad from Enes Unal.

The Turkey international lets fly with a long range effort but it is too central to beat Barca keeper Ter Stegen.

It was one of those awkward ones that a keeper is always expected to save but sometimes fumbles.

    Real Valladolid 0-1 Barcelona

    As I was just saying...

Lionel Messi turns the home defence inside out before floating a lovely cross to the back stick.

It's there to be hit but Sergi Roberto instead lays it off. Riqui Puig is the beneficiary but his effort is straight at Valladolid keeper Jordi Masip.

    Nice move.
