    HT: Chelsea 2-0 Wolves

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on Final Score

That's what big players do, they give you big performances - and Olivier Giroud has never let Frank Lampard down. Goals, assists, this is the kind of player you need in a positon like this.

Reminder to all the experts texting in on Watfords ownership structure that it has kept an under resourced and historically small club comfortably in the premiership for 5 seasons including a run to an FA Cup final.

Looking good for Villa at the moment but they've relinquished promising positions so many times who'd bet against them "doing a Brentford" today?

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Everton 1-2 Bournemouth

So far so good for Bournemouth, but they need a West Ham goal.

GOAL - Chelsea 2-0 Wolvespublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Olivier Giroud (45+3 mins)

If there was a crowd inside Stamford Bridge now...

Mason Mount slips it through to Olivier Giroud, who rounds the keeper but still has a lot to do. Conor Coady should deal with it but he's muscled off it by the French striker, who gets his body in the way and taps home from a few yards out into an empty goal.

  11. Under appreciated De Bruyne?published at 16:49 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Man City 2-0 Norwich

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Kevin de Bruyne missed out on the FWA Footballer of the Year award, which went to Jordan Henderson.

But when you look at how De Bruyne controlled that on the edge of the area and then curled his shot into the top corner, you have to wonder how many other players in the Premier League are capable of moments like that.

The Belgian is a class act.

  12. CLOSE!published at 16:48 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Man Utd

Marcus Rashford hammers one at Kasper Schmeichel. Bruno Fernandes is getting in the box a lot too.

    Nothing for United yet...

  13. 'Why didn't Watford do that earlier in the game?'published at 16:47 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Arsenal 3-1 Wolves

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on Final Score

A clumsy challege from David Luiz and Watford have got themselves back in the game, slightly. Now they're showing urgency, now they're getting players in the box. Why didn't they do that earlier in the game? Why now, when they're 3-0 down and fighting for their lives?

  14. 'That was the chance'published at 16:47 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Aston Villa

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was the chance, Villa haven’t looked like scoring.

It was great industry from McGinn in midfield. Grealish tries to guide it in to the corner, it was just too close to Fabianski.

It wasn’t a confident finish. He chokes the shot and doesn’t get the desired power or accuracy, you expect a player of his class to finish that chance.

  15. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 1-0 Wolvespublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Mason Mount (45+1 min)

It's a lovely free-kick from Mason Mount, who curls it over the wall and into the left corner. Lovely stuff!

BIG goal for Champions-League bound Chelsea.

  16. Postpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Wolves

A Chelsea corner is scrambled off the line before Pedro Neto is penalised for a high boot on Marcos Alonso on the edge of the box. This is a very good position for a free-kick...

  17. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-0 Norwichpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Kevin de Bruyne (45 mins)

What a strike this is from the Belgian.

Kevin de Bruyne wants an assist today to equal Thierry Henry's record of 20 in a single Premier League season but this is a reminder that he is a deadly finisher himself, whatever the range.

He looks up on the edge of the area and curls the ball into the top corner of the net. That's unstoppable, and City now have 99 league goals this season.

  18. goal

GOAL - Everton 1-2 Bournemouthpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Dominic Solanke (45 mins)

    Great goal!

Diego Rico sends a superb ball into the box and Jefferson Lerma and Dominic Solanke jump to meet it with the latter getting the crucial touch to steer a header into the bottom corner.

Bournemouth's survival hopes are alive once more!

  19. goal

GOAL - Burnley 1-1 Brightonpublished at 44 mins

    Chris Wood

A lovely finish from the big man.

Erik Pieters delivers a peach of a ball into the area from the left; New Zealand striker Chris Wood controls the ball with one foot and plants it into the net with the other.

  20. CLOSE!published at 16:45 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Aston Villa

The first real chance for Aston Villa on their big day and captain Jack Grealish is the man with it, fired in low from the left wing but he doesn't really get hold of it. Easy save.
