Deloitte's Sports Business Group have ran the numbers on what missing out on the Champions League could cost teams.
Chelsea and Manchester United could earn a minumum of €50-55m in distributions from Uefa alone if they qualify for the Champions League. That falls to just €11m for the Europa League.
Leicester could earn a minimum of €30m with a top four spot (with the difference attributed to the clubs’ historic 10-year performance in Uefa competition a factor in their distribution). They would get €8m by instead qualifying for the Europa League group stages.
Wolves could receive a minimum of €20m should they win the Europa League for the first time in their history and qualify for the Champions League that way.
