That goal sees Cristiano Ronaldo move to within three goals of Serie A leading scorer Ciro Immobile.

More importantly, Juve are within touching distance of that ninth straight title.

Juventus lead at the interval after that late Cristiano Ronaldo opener.

It's another really positive, powerful run towards goal by Adrien Rabiot that draws a foul in a very similar position...

It looked like Cristiano Ronaldo would take it but instead it's the left foot of Federico Bernardeschi that whips the ball high, over the wall and over the bar.

Adrien Rabiot charges towards the Sampdoria box and is brought down.

Juve are beginning to gain some momentum as the half-time whistle approaches.

Miralem Pjanic does well to win back possession and pick out Cristiano Ronaldo, who tees up Federico Bernardeschi for a good hit but Emil Audero is able to get two strong hands behind it.

Not a great half for Maurizio Sarri, who has plenty to ponder.

Cuadrado can't pick him out as Sampdoria edge towards a first half shut-out against title hopefuls Juve.

Fabio Quagliarella attempts a spectacular long range shot. It's struck powerfully and it's on target, but Wojciech Szczesny has done his homework and is alert to the danger.

Almost a near-instant impact from Federico Bernardeschi, who controls the ball nicely on his chest before swivelling to shoot from the edge of the box.

He doesn't catch it right though and Emil Audero is untroubled.

Juan Cuadrado has been moved back to right-back now as the action gets back under way.

That extended break has certainly taken a bit of the intensity out of the game, as both sides continue to scrap for possession.

Maurizio Sarri is stalking the touchline, deep in thought.

Danilo attempts to run back on but he's not right at all and he's replaced.

On comes Federico Bernardeschi.

Danilo is back up on his feet and it looks as though he will be given the all-clear to continue.
