    Watford 0-0 Luton

Understandably, plenty of tackles snapping about in midfield as both teams start to feel each other out tactically.

Luton brought in Ryan Tunnicliffe this afternoon, just the sort of player to turn to for such a midfield battleground.

Watford looking comfortable so far in turn, happy to stroke the ball around, with the rain just starting to tumble in Hertfordshire.

    Wycombe 0-0 Swansea

Swansea win an early free-kick on the right wing just outside the box and put it into a sea of bodies in the box.

Ryan Allsop punts it away from danger but Wycombe cheaply concede possession again moments later and Morgan Gibbs-White forces Jason McCarthy into chesting it back to his own keeper while under pressure.

    Watford 0-0 Luton

Not a big fan of Luton in all-orange, but then I've seen derbies between these two teams where they're not in their traditional white shirts. Watford in their classic gold/yellow depending on your stance.

Will be interesting to see whether Watford's multi-national band of players know all about the rivalry here. There are no fans of course to remind them of the passion.

Fourteen years have passed since Watford and Luton last met, last shared the same division, with very different fortunes in between.

The Hornets have been to the FA Cup final, enjoyed time in the Premier League... a relatively golden era for the men in gold, until last season's drop down from the top tier.

Around 19 miles away, the Hatters have been down to the depths and back again, with administration, points deductions and a fear for their future all to compete with before bouncing back to the Championship two seasons ago.

Today should be a highly-charged occasion, but the fans will have to observe from afar. Trouble sometimes accompanies this fixture as with many local derbies, so the police are on site today at Vicarage Road.

It has been a tough couple of fixtures for Wycombe in their debut Championship campaign.

From the agony of conceding in the 92nd minute against Rotherham on the opening day to the 5-0 drubbing they suffered at the hands of Blackburn last week, the Chairboys are yet to even score a second tier goal.

Swansea City visit Adams Park hoping to maintain their unbeaten start, but can Gareth Ainsworth's side avoid a third defeat in a row?

Friday recap: Huddersfield 1-0 Nottm Forest

    Sabri LamouchiImage source, Rex Features

It's been a sobering start to the 2020-21 Championship campaign for Sabri Lamouchi and his Nottingham Forest side.

Their defeat against Huddersfield Town last night, which came courtesy of Fraizer Campbell's stunning volley, was their third loss in a row and means they have suffered their worst league start for 66 years.

"I feel the pressure, I can't say no. The owner gave me all the players I want," Lamouchi said after the match.

"I don't have the answer to how long I will have to turn it around."

Normally two games into a Championship season we're basking in the glow of shirt-sleeves, light nights and late summer, but already in late September there's a chill in the air.

I doubt it will be quite so cool, despite the lack of fans, at Vicarage Road this lunchtime, where rivalry between Watford and Luton is resumed for the first time in 14 years.

And we're also kicking things off at Wycombe, where the Chairboys are still getting used to their second-tier surroundings, welcoming Swansea to Adams Park. A 'Swan badge derby' if you will.

That's only the start of it too, with a bucketload of traditional 15:00 BST kick-offs from across the EFL to bring you afterwards.

    Let's get stuck in.
