    Bobby Decordova-Reid

    Hello, HELLO!

    Fulham pull one back.

Sub Aboubakar Kamara cuts onto his left foot and curls a shot at goal which is spilled by Emiliano Martinez into the danger area and Bobby Decordova-Reid is on hand to finish.

    Awful goalkeeping.

    Liverpool v Arsenal (20:00 BST)

Liverpool make one change to the side which defeated Chelsea last weekend, as Joe Gomez comes into defence allowing Fabinho to fill the absent Jordan Henderson's place in midfield.

Summer signing Thiago Alcantara is not in the squad.

Arsenal make four changes from their previous league game, a 2-1 victory over West Ham, as Mohamed Elneny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, David Luiz and Kieran Tierney start this one.

    Full team news to come.

  3. CLOSE!published at 52 mins

    Fulham 0-3 Aston Villa

We have a save from Alphonse Areola.

John McGinn gets in all too easily once again and his low shot from the angle is kept out by the legs of the Fulham goalkeeper.

Damage limitation job now for Fulham.

They don't want this to get any uglier.

Tyrone Mings was the only man to the ball. It was a very bizarre goal. it was a brilliant delivery and really good finish. It was very tight. Fulham's line is high but they allow Villa players to get behind them.

    Tyrone Mings

I mean, where to even start with this one??

    Absolutely horrendous defending from Fulham.

Conor Hourihane curls in a free-kick from the left, the Cottagers' backline step out but Tyrone Mings is clearly onside and just has to stick a leg out at the ball to poke it into a open net.

Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola had gone walkabout.

Scott Parker turns away, he can't look. He daren't.

Bryan, Odoi & Ream were all part of the horrendous 18/19 campaign which conceded the most goals in the league that year. Does the Fulham hierarchy seriously think that replicating that same defence will lead to success this time around? Complete naivety.

    Unhappy Fulham fan

  12. 'The pressure is on Liverpool to be the greatest’published at 18:46 British Summer Time 28 September 2020

    Liverpool v Arsenal (20:00 BST)

    BBC World Service

Former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Michael Thomas: “It’s going to be a tough bid for Liverpool, Leicester will be stronger this year and Manchester City will still be the challengers.

"Chelsea have got some fantastic signings but they will take time to gel. Arsenal, I said they’d be in the top six, but the way they go about their business is really astonishing. I think they look like the dark horses.

"Liverpool have bought well, they’ve gone back to the old Liverpool ways. They don’t say anything about buying anyone and then all of a sudden on the day, they’ve bought someone.

"That’s great and that’s the way it should be. The pressure is on Liverpool to be the greatest, they are great already but to win it back to back, not many teams have done that.”

It really has been a poor display by that Fulham backline in so many aspects.

Villa fully deserve their lead. It's comfortable. They're not having to work too hard. The centre-backs are dealing with the crosses.

Unless Fulham offer something different they're just going to see the game out.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 28 September 2020

Fulham's Joe Bryan the latest to be booked for a lunge on John McGinn.

    Not a great challenge.

  18. CLOSE!published at 45+2 mins

    Fulham 0-2 Aston Villa

It should be three and Villa should put the game to bed but Ollie Watkins gets his header from six yards all wrong and nods it wide of target.

    You'd expect better from a £28m striker.

    Fulham 0-2 Aston Villa

Fulham keep on putting these crosses in but there is no home player within five yards of the ball in the box.

It's allowing the Villa defenders to take their time in clearing the danger.

    I say "danger"..

"Get on there and get some crosses in Abou, we've not had enough of them," seems to have been the instruction from Scott Parker to sub Aboubakar Kamara.
