    FT: Czech Republic 1-2 Scotland

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on Sky Sports: "They knew they had to get the result and they did everything to get it. We showed good resolution and strength of character.

"Everyone told us before the start of the game that we had to win the game so we win the game. We take the three points and go home.

"We'll probably get a little bit of criticism for the performance but we can work on the performance. That's five games unbeaten. There are some positives there.

"We reacted well (to going behind). We scored a fantastic goal. Pleased to see Lyndon get on the scoresheet. Second half, we got our noses in front. Ryan did what he did so both strikers scored, it's good."

    FT: Czech Republic 1-2 Scotland

Scotland captain Andy Robertson on Sky Sports: "Falling behind, we knew they were going to be full of character. They're obviously proud to represent their country.

"It was far from ideal for them but it wasn't ideal for us. A really good defensive display in the last 10 minutes. Three points, we're top of the group and we can't complain. We were probably on a hiding to nothing.

"It's a new system under this manager. Some people expect it just to click overnight but it doesn't happen like that."

Against better opposition we'd have been beaten tonight. We are trying a different shape and some of the boys are still coming back to fitness. But it's not been straightforward at all.

I feel sorry for him. It takes years for that second sense to develop for a defender. I wouldn't mind it as much if our wing backs were a threat going forward but they haven't been in these last two games.

The scoreline masks an awful lot. I think you have to give the Czechs enormous credit given the circumstances. They are very hard done by to not get anything from the game.

We've been fortunate tonight. The Czech Republic were bright, full of energy and have created so many opportunities. But at the same time we've got to recognise that we're now top of the group

    Sensational stuff.

  19. FULL-TIME - Czech Republic 1-2 Scotlandpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 7 September 2020

You can come out from behind the sofa now. Phew.

Pesek capped a brilliant start by this makeshift Czech side, clipping over David Marshall after 12 minutes.

Lyndon Dykes tapped in his first Scotland goal to level things at the break, and Ryan Christie's penalty ensured victory.

But considering this Czech team had trained together once, it wasn't exactly convincing from Scotland...
