There it is - Reading get the three points, in wet and windy conditions in the capital.

Lauren Bruton's first-half goal and Grace Moloney's second-half penalty save from Kenza Dali earned the visitors the win.

West Ham's search for their first league win of the season continues.

The Royals will be thrilled if they can see this win out - it'd be their second win in three league games this term.

The final ball just isn't quite falling for West Ham at the moment.

West Ham's search for an equaliser continues but Reading are holding firm so far. Five minutes of the 90 remain.

Birmingham boss Carla Ward adds:

"To concede from a set-piece is massively disappointing but, overall, I'm pleased they weren't able to break us down.

"If we perform like that, the points will come."

Chelsea's goalscorer Fran Kirby adds to BT Sport:

"We really focused on getting the three points and keeping a clean sheet.

"I've not scored many [headers]. It went in, and that's the most important thing.

"I'm in a really good place and hopefully I can keep building. I want to keep growing my confidence but I need to keep working."

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes tells BT Sport:

"I love that we got a clean sheet. What a well-drilled opponent we faced, brilliant coaching [from Birmingham]. I'm delighted with the three points.

"I thought Fran [Kirby] was exceptional. She's a team player. She puts the team first in everything she does and I'm so happy for her that she scored."

The last of today's game's still ongoing is West Ham and Reading's clash at Dagenham, which the Royals still lead with 20 minutes left on the clock now.

Grace Moloney's penalty save to deny Kenza Dali has been the key moment of the second half so far.

It's an eighth WSL defeat in a row for Birmingham but they are showing signs of improvement under Carla Ward and their goal-difference is looking much, much healthier than some of their closest relegation rivals.

Birmingham made them work for it, but Chelsea get their second league win of the season and remain unbeaten in the WSL since January 2019.

Over in Solihull, they're in to three minutes of stoppage time.

Pernille Harder goes close, as Chelsea aim for a second goal to wrap this up.

Kenza Dali has a chance to level from the penalty spot... But Reading keeper Grace Moloney saves well, low to her left. Dali didn't get enough power on it to beat the keeper at that height.

Birmingham go very close to an equaliser, with eight minutes to go, as Claudia Walker heads Harriet Scott's cross narrowly wide of the far post.

That would have put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Meanwhile, Reading remain on top at Dagenham against a West Ham side who look a bit low on confidence.
