    RB Leipzig 1-0 Man Utd

United's first attack of the game but Mason Greenwood doesn't get enough power or accuracy into his 18-yard shot and former Hereford goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi saves.

    Chelsea 0-0 Krasnodar

Billy Gilmour receives a pass from Kai Havertz and doesn't have to think twice about taking a shot.

He takes aim from 25 yards but a deflection takes the sting off it.

Confident start as you would expect from the much-changed hosts.

    RB Leipzig 1-0 Man Utd

That is the earliest goal Manchester United have conceded in the Champions League since Alan for Sporting Braga in October 2012 (1:27).

Make that three goals from five shots on target from Angelino. United let him in down the left again but this time his shot is weaker and held by fellow Spaniard David de Gea.

United need to get a grip here.

  6. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    RB Leipzig 1-0 Man Utd

Angelino has scored three goals from just four shots on target in the Champions League this season.

He has been directly involved in five of Leipzig's nine Champions League goals this campaign.

  8. 'The worst possible start'published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

That is the worst possible start, I was just going to say RB Leipzig have gone for a similar system with three at the back. Angelino comes in at the far post, he's high up the pitch with a fantastic goal scoring record this season and it's a brilliant strike. Hits it on the half volley, David de Gea didn't even move. So much power into that bottom corner and that is not the start Solskjaer would want.

    RB Leipzig 1-0 Man Utd

United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has just picked himself up a booking as well.

  10. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    RB Leipzig 1-0 Man Utd

To spell it out, as things stand Manchester United are in the Europa League last 32.

PSG and Leipzig would go to the Champions League knockout stages.

Pogba is under contract until 2022! Ole should put him in the reserves for a year ! The team is better without him ! To much player and agent power nowadays! United need to make a stand

    Chelsea 0-0 Krasnodar

Antonio Rudiger is forced into some early defending as Krasnodar start by launching a long ball up the pitch.

It doesn't take long before Chelsea settle on the ball though. Everyone but Kepa is camped in the Krasnodar half.

    Oh oh.

Manchester City loanee Angelino has fired Leipzig into the lead.

Captain Marcel Sabitzer whips in a good cross from the right which Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both watch pass them on the way to Angelino, who slams a fine effort into the bottom corner.

  14. 'United will have to manage the first 10-15 minutes'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    RB Leipzig 0-0 Man Utd

    Phil Neville

I think I'd rather it be that Man United needed to go out there and get three points instead of just the one point, I hope they don't just sit back. I know that it's a counter-attacking team but this Leipzig team is fantastic at home and they will have to manage the first 10-15 minutes I'm sure.

  18. Blues on for record tallypublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    Chelsea v Krasnodar (20:00 GMT)

While there's nothing at stake for Chelsea tonight, victory over Krasnodar would see the Blues reach a club record points total in the Champions League group stages.

A win will take them to 16 points from a possible 18 - making Frank Lampard's side just the fourth English team to hit such a high total.

That's after Arsenal in 2005-06 (losing finalists), Manchester United in 2007-08 (eventual winners) and Tottenham in 2017-18 (reached last 16).

    Something to aim for, then.

  19. '4% chance of Chelsea winning Champions League'published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    Chelsea v Krasnodar (20:00 GMT)

Despite their convincing group campaign, Entertainment data company Gracenote say Chelsea have a 4% chance of winning this season's Champions League.

"Chelsea were ranked below group rivals Sevilla by the Euro Club Index before the Champions League started. The Blues have since overtaken Sevilla and are now ranked eighth in Europe," said Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis at Nielsen's Gracenote.

"They are still outsiders to win the Champions League but as group winners, they will be seeded in the second round draw."

  20. 'Hopefully Anjorin will have a big future'published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    Chelsea v Krasnodar (20:00 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard speaking to BT Sport: "We also changed the team in Seville last week, but still needed a result. It's similar tonight - we needed to rest players because they played a high-intensity game against Leeds.

"Billy [Gilmour] shows himself in training. He can play various positions in midfield. [This is a big test for] Tino Anjorin but in training he shows he has a lot of ability - for him it'll be a great test. He deserves it with how he trains and how he's been in the academy - hopefully he'll have a big future."
