Manchester United's Marcus Rashford has scored six goals in the Champions League group stages this season.

No Englishman has ever scored seven or more goals in a single group stage. The only United player to do so was Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2004-05 (eight goals).

RB Leipzig v Man Utd (20:00 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to BT Sport: "We look forward to the game and they [Bruno Fernandes and David de Gea] are players with experience and quaity. Hopefully they can produce the goods.

"we need everyone to perform at their best. With concentration and the level in the Champions League against top teams you have to be spot on all the time.

"[On Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood] This is something they relish. We just have to create chances for them. They're in good form - they're good finishers and quick."

On leaving Pogba on the bench: "My decision is tactical. That's the only thing. We made a team decision way before this game. We decided on Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic in midfield before the West Ham game. You always think about the best for the 11."

What affect have Pogba's agent's quotes had? "Nothing. You prepare for every game as if it's your last one. We've got City on Saturday. That doesn't matter - this is the one for us now."

Mersey Talk Podcast: I genuinely don't get the furore of the Paul Pogba situation. He thinks he's world-class, he isn't. He doesn't play well. He is dropped. His agent thinks he should be selected even when not playing well. Pogba isn't a manager. Raiola isn't a manager. Fin.

Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann led the club to the semi-finals last year but they are on the brink of a group-stage exit this time.

"I'm not sure for whom the situation in the group is psychologically worse," he said.

"Manchester were first in the group for a long time, now they can be eliminated with one game.

"We have fought our way back and can still make it through on our own terms.

"We have tried to learn our lessons from the 5-0 defeat in Manchester. The final scoreline was a bit high, we didn't play that bad. We were almost too scared to attack."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Manchester United will not play for the draw they need because "it is not in our genes to play for a 0-0".

"We never make it easy for ourselves," Solskjaer said. "It is a tradition for Manchester United. But we want to go out and win.

"My players are Manchester United players because they have the quality we look for. They will show why they are here. Games like this are what we want."

On Paul Pogba's agent saying he should leave United next month...

The comments, to me, were pre-planned, pre-rehearsed - knowing when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was doing his press conference, knowing exactly the right words to use. When I read those comments I wasn't surprised, it wasn't a bombshell. Paul Pogba is not happy, he doesn't look happy, he's not playing to his full potential, and hasn't been for a long time.

Ultimately, the inevitable is going to happen that Pogba has to leave United. The sooner you get rid of players like Pogba, players who don't want to be there, in a dressing room that's thinking about long term with energy and that vision of maybe going to win something you have to sieve out the weeds. At the moment Pogba needs to get out of that dressing room and that would suit everyone at United and Pogba as well.

  12. Dortmund take the leadpublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

Lazio 2-2 Club Bruges; Zenit 1-2 Borussia Dortmund

And just like that, Borussia Dortmund top Group F again.

Despite playing with 10 men since the 39th minute, Hans Vanaken draws Club Bruges level against Lazio.

And moments later, Axel Witsel fires in to send Dortmund 2-1 up at Zenit.

Dortmund are top, Lazio are second - but a third for Bruges would take them above Lazio...

  13. Kepa returnspublished at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

Record £71m goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will make his first Chelsea appearance since 17 October tonight, having lost the number one spot to Edouard Mendy following his arrival in September.

Kepa has been restricted to three Premier League appearances this season, with tonight's game his first in the Champions League this term.

Chelsea fans and the eagle-eyed among you will have spotted Faustino (Tino) Anjorin make his senior bow for the Blues last season in the 7-1 the EFL Cup win over Grimsby. He was also a substitute in the 4-0 Premier League victory over Everton in March.

The 19-year-old joined the club's development centre programme as an under-7 before officially signing at the under-9 age group.

The box-to-box midfielder scored in the 7-1 win over Arsenal in the 2018 FA Youth Cup final.

Anjorin has also appeared for England at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels.

  15. Dortmund equalise - but Lazio still on course to win grouppublished at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

Lazio 2-1 Club Bruges; Zenit 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Lazio have had to contend with the conditions as well as Club Bruges so far this evening, but Ciro Immobile's 27th-minute penalty means the Serie A side still remain on course to win Group F.

    But only just.

That's because Borussia Dortmund have equalised at Zenit through Lukasz Piszczek with 20 minutes remaining, to leave Lucien Favre's side one point behind Lazio.

  16. Another game unbeaten?published at 19:22 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

    Chelsea v Krasnodar (20:00 GMT)

It's 16 games unbeaten in all competitions for Frank Lampard's side, who have not lost since a 2-0 defeat by Liverpool on 20 September.

That remains their only defeat this season*.

They've also kept nine clean sheets during that run, with Edouard Mendy in goal for all of those shutouts.

  17. 'Every defeat piles the pressure on Solskjaer'published at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

RB Leipzig v Manchester United (20:00 GMT)

    Phil Neville
England Women manager and former Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

There's a massive narrative against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - every time he loses a game people are talking about him losing his job. When you look at how close they are to the top, they're in arguably a really tough group in the Champions League. This is a big night for him, for him to get through this, get to to the last 16 and put the Champions League to bed and concentrate on the Premier League.

With Ole, every defeat will pile the pressure on and every defeat will have people questioning how long he's got left which I think is a little bit unfair. If you look at the teams below United in the Premier League who have probably got more high-profile managers that are getting away with things that Ole can't get away with.

    Barcelona v Juventus (20:00 GMT)

Barcelona will secure top spot in Group G if they do not lose by more than one goal to Juventus.

A 2-0 defeat would see them stay top, but Juve would top the group if they won 3-1, 4-2 etc or by more than two goals.

Both sides secured their qualification with a couple of games to spare.

    Barcelona v Juventus (20:00 GMT)

    BBCImage source, .

As the two star players of their generation prepare to face each other for the first time since May 2018, the answer is as simple as it is impossible; they both are the best.

Messi the best player ever and Ronaldo the best striker ever. That is what I think anyway.

In the process of trying to come one way or another to an irrelevant and fundamentally flawed conclusion, everyone seems to make the same basic error. People seek to compare two geniuses who changed the way football is appreciated around the world by highlighting their differences.

  20. Moukoko breaks recordpublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2020

And now, at 16 years and 18 days, he is the youngest to ever feature in a Champions League match - breaking a record which stood for 26 years.

Celestine Babayaro previously held the record, playing for Anderlecht aged 16 years and 86 days.

His side need him. Dortmund trail Zenit 1-0 and will finish second to Lazio in Group F as things stand.
