Kylian Mbappe and Neymar both caught the eye in Paris St-Germain's 3-2 win at Bayern Munich.

Mbappe scored twice, including the winner, with Neymar getting two assists.

They have combined for 10 Champions League goals since their first season together in 2017-18, at least three more than any other duo.

Mbappe said: "I love this type of game. They haven't always gone my way and maybe they won't in the future, but I'm not here to hide. I love this kind of game and being decisive.

"I love to play against the best players in world and Manuel Neuer is one of the best keepers in history. I felt no pressure."

He has scored eight Champions League goals this season, the joint-most in a single season by a Frenchman.

Neymar has assisted 26 goals in the Champions League, the most of any player since his European debut in 2013-14.

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargeaves said on BT Sport: "PSG spent a fortune on Neymar and Mbappe and the reason is a game like this - they stole the show."

The pair are both out of contract at the end of next season.

"Everyone's gong to be queuing up [for Mbappe] because on that form he's unplayable," said Hargreaves.

"For Poch and PSG that performance is huge for them because hopefully they can find a way to tie them both down.

"Neymar at 29 is probably not as essential as Mbappe, but Mbappe at 22 with a year left - that doesn't happen. He's got all the cards, he just has to decide what he wants to do."

Fellow BT pundit Steve McManaman said: "I think one of them maybe have to leave and I think if you're PSG you look at keeping Mbappe, the Frenchman, and then you can build your team around him."

Porto midfielder Mateus Uribe to TVI (via Uefa website): "We experienced a bitter taste tonight, but with our heads held high for the work that we did. We did a great job. If you lose focus, these teams score. They were effective, but in 90 minutes anything can happen."

Former Liverpool midfielder Steve McManaman on BT Sport: "A lot of things have to change within the whole system at PSG. It looks as if the players are more powerful than everybody else and it looks quite bad at times.

"They look quite arrogant at times. They do need to get over the line and win the Champions League and maybe things will start to turn around, but you can see that no-one can control the players, it was the same when Tuchel was there.

"If anything happened then the manager got sacked. So I think one of them maybe have to leave and I think if you're PSG you look at keeping Mbappe, the Frenchman, and then you can build your team around him."

Mason Mount is a player full of confidence at the moment. It wasn't even one of his best performances, but the things he did when he was on the ball showed the quality that he has. You look at the player who is going to spark Chelsea and it's Mount every time.

People used to say he's only in the side because he was one of Frank Lampard's favourites but no, he's in the Chelsea team and England squad because he's one of the best players around.

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to BT Sport: "It was a tough match against a strong Porto side.

"There were many moments where we suffered. We accepted it. The circumstances are a bit different in a quarter-final. The spirit was good and it was an excellent result.

"I was pretty sure about that [they'd react well after the WBA defeat]. I saw a response immediately in the dressing room and the next day. That wasn't a big concern. We were ready to respond. There will always be setbacks in sports. The biggest challenge is to bounce back.

"We had a lot of excellent results together, then we had a loss together and then a reaction after a loss together. That brings us closer together and increases the trust.

"I'm very happy that he [Mason Mount] scores. A very important goal that opened up the game. It calmed the nerves. Not an easy shot but very precise. Very happy for Mason. He took responsbility.

"[Ben Chilwell's goal was] excellent. He kept composure and went round the keeper. It was super important to get the second away goal. Chilly forced the mistake and kept his cool in the box. We're very happy to go away with this result but it's only half-time."

For the first time since March 2012 against Napoli (John Terry and Frank Lampard), Chelsea have had two different English players score for them in the same Champions League match.

Bayern Munich are the first team to have more than 30 shots in 90 minutes of a Champions League match and lose since Galatasaray in a 4-1 group home defeat against Arsenal on 9 December 2014.

Liverpool had 35 in their 3-2 extra-time loss against Atletico Madrid last year.

PSG defender Colin Dagba: "[Mauricio Pochettino] told us what wasn't working at half-time. We looked at our defensive organisation as well and that paid off in the second half. We had a much more solid defensive bloc."

Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount to BT Sport: "We knew it would be a tough game. We kept going, we got the goal in the first half and the second secured a good win.

"It's only half the tie, there's a second leg to go.

"It's about time it [his first Champions League goal] came. I've been waiting patiently. It was a good time for it to come. A good pass by Jorginho, I had space and I hit it.

"I'm always working on it [finishing]. I don't think you can work on it enough. I think I can improve on it and score more goals.

"He [Ben Chilwell] showed great composure. I thought he'd shoot in front of goal but he took it past the keeper. He'll be buzzing with that.

"After the West Brom game we put it behind us. We looked briefly at it the next day and moved on. We came into this game with full focus, 100% commitment that we'd win.

"The job's not done. They'll fight for the next leg and we'll have to give it our all. We'll be ready."

Chelsea have got other attacking options - it just depends on how long Thomas Tuchel wants to stick with Timo Werner.

Listen, Werner is not a bad player. You don't become a bad player overnight. It's just at the moment, he's getting into positions and not being clinical.

Maybe he needs a bit of time out of the team and he can make an impact coming off the bench.

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are the new second-favourites to win the Champions League (behind Manchester City), according to bookmakers’ latest odds.

The West London side have leapfrogged Bayern Munich into second spot, cut from 6-1 into 4-1. They’re also the most-backed within the market, attracting 22% of all bets today - according to Oddschecker.

Odds have subsequently lengthened on Bayern Munich following their home defeat to PSG, with the German giants now 5-1 alongside their French opponents.

City remain clear favourites to win their first ever Champions League, and have been cut into 9-5 following their victory over Borussia Dortmund.

It was a very good, professional performance from Chelsea. A lot of people were questioning how they would respond after that defeat by West Brom - and they responded excellently.

Thomas Tuchel made changes but the players that came in have done the job. Two fantastic goals and even late in the game, they were still trying to get forward and score that second goal.

I think Chelsea are done now and this second leg should be comfortable as well.
