  2. 'An amazing moment for us'published at 22:37 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern (agg 3-3, PSG win on away goals)

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino to BT Sport: "It was a really tough match and I'm really happy because the players deserve the credit and we're so happy for them, the club, the president.

"After three months working here we're enjoying the moment and if you qualify for the semi-finals then this is an amazing moment for us.

"When you're on the touchline, close to the pitch, it's not easy to enjoy it but I try to be calm on the outside, but just inside you are dealing with the stress - that's the adrenaline of it that you love to feel.

"It was an amazing game. The quality is there and they worked so hard. I'm so happy because our job is to get all this talent to work as a team."

  3. 'We will be ready for anyone'published at 22:32 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg, 2-1)

    Chelsea

More from Mason Mount speaking to BT Sport: "He has had a big impact. It's difficult to come in midway through the seaosn but he has had a big impact on the players. We have known from day one what he has wanted and implemented it in the games.

"We are working hard in training and it is showing. We are looking solid as a team. We have been performing at a high level. We need to continue that.

"We will take anyone [in the semi-finals]. We're ready for the fight and the battle. We get to sit down and watch it and really analyse it. We will be ready for anyone."

  4. 'It doesn't get better'published at 22:30 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg, 2-1)

    Chelsea

Chelsea's Mason Mount speaking to BT Sport: "It doesn't get better than that. Today the most important thing was getting through.

"We could have played better but just getting through was at the forefront and we did that tonight.

"We had a few chances but the most important thing we defending and staying strong.

"We know as a team we had to work our socks off. We knew what the final result was if we won. The boys off the bench did that too. We were together as a team.

"We are buzzing. We are in a good position at the moment. We know we are playing well but we have big, big games coming up. We have an FA Cup semi-final and we go into each game with the confidence we can win. We need to do that in the league as well."

  5. Postpublished at 22:28 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern (agg 3-3, PSG win on away goals)

The last three clubs to eliminate Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals all went on to win the trophy that season - AC Milan (2006/07), Barcelona (2008/09) and Real Madrid (2016/17).

  6. Will Hansi Flick stay?published at 22:26 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern (agg 3-3, PSG win on away goals)

    Raphael Honigstein
German football journalist on BBC Radio 5 Live

The question is what will Hansi Flick say? They are waiting for him to give an answer. There is a big expectation that he will now show his hand and say whether he is going to stay or not.

A win would have strengthened his hand at the club, now they are out I think it is more likely he will leave to take the national job.

The decision will be forced on Bayern in the next week or so. The expectation in Germany is that Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann will be the next Bayern coach.

  7. Postpublished at 22:24 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

After Bayern Munich's exit from the competition, Real Madrid remain the only team in the Champions League era to have successfully defended the trophy - 2016, 2017, 2018.

  8. 'Agony for both teams'published at 22:20 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern (agg 3-3, PSG win on away goals)

    Raphael Honigstein
German football journalist on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was agony for both teams! Bayern are disappointed but the most important thing is that the players gave their all - Manuel Neuer said they were knackered. They had nothing on the bench tonight.

They had nobody to bring on after 60-70 minutes. Bayern lacked that bit of spark in the final third.

Because of Covid they were conservative in the transfer window. Their core players have played a lot of games and once you are missing Gnabry and Lewandowski they ran out of steam.

  9. 'Semi-finals is a big achievement'published at 22:18 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg 2-1)

    Chelsea

More from Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to BT Sport: "You can always feel when the pressure is on but we are used to it. We have played Manchester United, Liverpool, Everton and Atletico Madrid in two weeks. All of these matches are every three days.

"We did not talk about the result in the first game. We talked about what we needed to do if you feel nervous and that is to use your body, work hard and make yourself sweat.

"This is what we did. We tried to give them confidence and show them what they should do as a team. It is nice for them I think as they know they can rely on each other which is the most important thing. We will become a strong side. The semi-finals is a big achievement.

"In general I like not to play against teams from your same league in the Champions League as it gives more of a feeling of a European competition but that is the only thing. The game is far from over but I will watch it for sure.

"It is a pleasure to watch it as a semi-finalist which is a great achievement. We will watch these games and everything is possible. Liverpool are very strong at home so we take what we get. It is a good situation for us."

  11. Could this be PSG's year?published at 22:15 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

PSG's character has been questioned many times but they have kept the defending champions at bay to reach the last four for a second successive season.

They have beaten Barcelona and Bayern now - they will feel this could be their year.

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

On paper it's one of the worst Real Madrid teams in my living memory, in terms of names and fear factor. But they do have a manager who gets it right in the Champions League.

They have made it through and could get through again - they get it right at the business end. If you're Chelsea I do not know who you'd rather play.

  14. 'A pleasure to watch the fight'published at 22:14 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg 2-1)

    Chelsea

More from Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to BT Sport: "We had to play defensively but also offensively. Normally Porto is a team who can make other teams underperform. It happened to Man City in the group stages and Juventus. You have to accept that things will be hard.

"Part of the performance is to not let the other team perform and we did this today. Until the lucky shot in the last minute we did not concede any chances. We missed some counter-attacks and some touches in the final third to create a little more but we are a young team. We had two guys who scored their first goals in the Champions League in the first leg. We have to accept the circumstances.

"It was a pleasure to watch the fight and be on the sideline with them to see them through."

  15. 'It was a tough fight'published at 22:12 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg 2-1)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to BT Sport: "We accepted what was needed was a tough, tough fight. Maybe on the television it was not so nice to watch but on the sidelines it was a very intense game, a very fast game.

"It was a tough fight and very hard to play against them to escape the pressure. They attack in a fluid and aggressive way. They change positions all the time. They come from behind, they overlap and you have to adapt to many movements. With every minute we did it better and better after a tough start.

"We defended well and deserved a clean sheet. We had the better chances - not a lot - but the better half chances. We could not finish it off with a goal so we had to hang in there and the guys did that. Overall we deserved to beat Porto. It was a tough 180 minutes."

  16. Did you know?published at 22:11 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

PSG 0-1 Bayern (agg 3-3, PSG win on away goals)

Bayern Munich are the third reigning Champions League winners in a row to fail to reach at least the semi-final stage in the following season in the competition, something that has not happened since four successive teams failed between 2004-05 and 2007-08 (Porto, Liverpool, Barcelona, Milan).

  17. 'Porto huffed and puffed'published at 22:10 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

    Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg 2-1)

    Andros Townsend
Crystal Palace midfielder on 5 live

When you saw the line-ups before the game you knew what sort of game it was going to be, the end goal was to get through to the semi-final and Chelsea have done that.

Porto huffed and puffed but they couldn't blow the house down. It's a shame for Mehdi Taremi that he's scored the best goal he'll ever score in his career and it's absolutely pointless.

Porto had to keep pressing high and not let Chelsea settle but they couldn't muster any real chances.

  20. 'They protected the goal'published at 22:02 British Summer Time 13 April 2021

FT: Chelsea 0-1 Porto (agg 2-1)

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It wasn't the greatest performance but Chelsea didn't need to score. The job was done in the first leg and they've seen it through.

They protected the goal very well. The only frustration was that on the ball they didn't get anything going. But it was an evening for defensive solidity and they had that in droves.
