    Swansea v Millwall

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Liberty Stadium

It is a big day for 21-year-old Steven Benda at the Liberty Stadium, as he makes his Swansea City debut in the absence of the unwell Freddie Woodman.

Woodman and Swans midfielder Yan Dhanda both have a stomach bug - the club say their illnesses are not Covid-related - so Benda gets his chance.

The German joined the Welsh club in 2017 after being recommended by fellow countryman Gerhard Tremmel, who was Swansea's League Cup-winning goalkeeper in 2012-13.

Swansea have not conceded a league goal as yet this season. No pressure, then.

Just three games into the League Two season nobody can boast a 100% record.

Cambridge and Port Vale sit first and second respectively with two wins and a draw and zero goals conceded.

The U's visit Exeter City while Vale travel to Morecambe and third placed Newport, who also have seven points from three games, host Mansfield.

Elsewhere, there's a first Cumbrian derby in the Football League for 56 years as Carlisle host neighbours* Barrow.

Grimsby v Bradford City is postponed because players and staff at the Mariners are self-isolating after a positive Covid-19 test at the club

    Here's a rundown of today's 11 League Two games:

It's been a very tough start to life in the second tier for Wycombe. Gareth Ainsworth's side have lost all three matches and are yet to score a goal. They travel to a Luton team who have won two of their opening three games.

There's a Yorkshire derby at the New York Stadium as Rotherham host Huddersfield. The Terriers started off with successive defeats but recorded their first win, and goal, of the season last week with a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Sheffield Wednesday's bid to get back up to zero points hit the buffers last week as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Bristol City. The Owls, who started the season on -12 points for breaching financial rules, go into today's game against QPR on -8.

  9. 1,500 not out for Warnockpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Middlesbrough v Barnsley

    Neil WarnockImage source, Rex Features

It's a special day for Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock.

Today's game against Barnsley is the 71-year-old's 1,500th as a manager in professional football.

The former Gainsborough, Burton, Scarborough, Torquay, Notts County, Huddersfield, Plymouth, Oldham, Bury, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, QPR, Leeds, Rotherham and Cardiff City boss has won eight promotions in his lengthy career in the dug-out.

He recently had to spend 14 days self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 and this will be his first game back on the sidelines.

He infamously said that he wanted one last challenge when he took over at Selhurst Park way back in 2007 but don't expect him to be stepping away from the game anytime soon.

“It’s not over yet, I’ve got some new memories to make with the team here in Middlesbrough," Warnock said on Friday., external

There might not be fans in the grounds but that hasn't stopped Blackburn putting on a show so far this season.

After an exciting 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth on the opening day Tony Mowbray's side recorded a 5-0 win at home to Wycombe and then a 4-0 victory at Derby.

Standing in their way today is a Cardiff side who reached the play-offs last season but have lost two of the opening three games this campaign.

The last match between these two sides ended 3-2 to Blackburn. On current form we could well see more of the same today.

  11. Stubborn Swans face Lionspublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Swansea v Millwall

Swansea and Watford are the only two teams in the league yet to concede a goal this season.

Steve Cooper's men have kept clean sheets in victories at Preston and Wycombe and in the home goalless draw with Birmingham City.

A victory today could send them up to the top of the table but that won't be easy against a Millwall team who are also unbeaten in their opening trio of league matches.

Dean Holden has made a fine start to life as Bristol City boss

The two teams in the league who still have 100% records face challenges of different natures today.

Reading, who have made a tremendous start to life under new boss Veljko Paunovic, host a Watford side relegated from the Premier League last season while Dean Holden's Bristol City travel to a Nottingham Forest side who sit on zero points from their first three matches.

After a dreadful end to 2019-20 saw them fall out of the play-offs in the final minutes of the campaign, coupled with this lacklustre start, could Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi could be the season's first managerial casualty?

    FT: Norwich 0-1 Derby

Phillip Cocu rung the changes and adapted his side's formation after their 4-0 home thrashing by Blackburn and it's paid off.

It wasn't pretty - they defended deep and in numbers for much of the game - but they thwarted Norwich and earned the right to go and snatch all three points.

A perfect smash and grab away day for the Rams, who move out of the bottom three.

    Norwich 0-1 Derby

Derby County have their first Championship points of the season thanks to Wayne Rooney's fine late free-kick.

Rooney's now scored in English football in every season since 2002-03 apart from 2018-19, and that goal comes 18 years and two days on from his first goals in English football.

Norwich will rue Teemu Pukki's missed penalty but they did not create enough with all their possession to get anything.

    Norwich 0-1 Derby

Should that have been another Norwich penalty?!

Referee Stuart Atwell thinks about it but decides otherwise.

It's a coming together between George Evans and Mario Vrancic.

  19. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Derby

Norwich keeper Tim Krul brings the ball forward to launch another home attack.

But Matt Clarke heads the ball clear for Derby, who are defending deep but letting nothing past them.

The hosts do have a free-kick 25 yards out though - a chance to put the ball in.

  20. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90+1 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Derby

We're into four minutes of added time.

Norwich will wonder how they're losing but they haven't created enough and the fresh Derby legs have made a difference - as well as Wayne Rooney's class.
