Scott Fraser's spot-kick has broken the deadlock after Matthew Sorinola was fouled.
In League Two, third-placed Cheltenham lead at Port Vale and Jake Taylor has equalised for Exeter at Leyton Orient.
Crawley have a fourth against Tranmere, as well.
