Summary

  • Aston Villa thump champions Liverpool 7-2 just hours after Tottenham hammer Man Utd 6-1

  • Anger, laughter and shock were just some of the emotions on an incredible night

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheffield United

Danger! David Luiz is caught in possession as the last man and he's grateful that Bernd Leno is sweeping so high up the pitch as the German clears about 30 yards from goal.

Oliver Burke would have been home and hosed. Hang on, Luiz had a big handful of Burke's shirt there - VAR?

  2. CLOSE!published at 14:05 British Summer Time 4 October 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Fulham

Wolves fashion the first opportunity of the game via Romain Saiss's well-aimed cross to the back stick where Leander Dendoncker meets it with a header which is cleared off the line by Fulham defender Tim Ream.

It's a big call leaving Alexandre Lacazette out. It's a heavy week for them but it's a game they probably think they can control.

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheffield United

Arsenal are playing with a back four by the way, not the three as advertised.

  5. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheffield United

In from the cold, Mohamed Elneny's Arsenal career looked to have gone but he's back and making a fine challenge. David Luiz then launches a cracking pass to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who helped it on to Eddie Nketiah, who loses his balance as he made the shot. The Blades were cut open very easily there.

If it's close enough to have to draw lines to be sure, it's onside. By all means look at the VAR but do it by eye and not with lines, that would stop all the laughable armpit/toenail offsides. Vardy was in line there. Not that it would've meant much in this game but it's time to use common sense.

Arsenal v Sheffield United (14:00 BST)

What's this Blades kit all about? Chris Wilder's side are wearing a sort of British racing green affair.

If you're wondering, new striker Rhian Brewster wasn't signed in time so he's not available today.

It looks very dank and damp once more in the capital. Eddie Nketiah looks freezing.

As the strains of the Clash ring out around the empty Emirates, it's nearly gametime in north London.

Can the Blades get some points on the board at last?

Leicester woeful, zero shots on target.

West Ham wonderful, manager David Moyes might want to carry on working from home.

    Harvey Barnes

    Consolation.

Leicester have shown nothing in the final third all game but pull one back with a beauty.

Harvey Barnes plays a delightful one-two with Jamie Vardy, before finishing into the bottom corner.

Tom Miszkowski: You've gotta love the Premier League. One week Leicester hit Man City for 5, the next they ship 3 to West Ham. If a few teams can take points off Liverpool it could be a really open / competitive season

    Leicester 0-3 West Ham

    Jamie Vardyyyy, NO!

    He has missed, how???

Kelechi Iheanacho picks out a peach of a pass through to the Leicester striker and you would bet on him scoring, but the Englishman chips his shot way wide.

That sums Leicester's performance up - horrible.

Abid: This is why Leicester will struggle to finish in the top 6. We don't have the squad. As soon as we have a couple of key players like Maddison and Ndidi missing the replacements are just not good enough. Really missing Ricardo too - Justin has been poor.

    Jarrod Bowen

    Clinical.

West Ham have absolutely torn Leicester to shreds today.

Pablo Fornals spots a gap and picks out the run of Jarrod Bowen.

The West Ham man takes his time as he approaches Kasper Schmeichel, before opening up his body and rolling a cool finish into the bottom corner.

Full of confidence, he never looked like missing.
