  • Aston Villa thump champions Liverpool 7-2 just hours after Tottenham hammer Man Utd 6-1

  • Anger, laughter and shock were just some of the emotions on an incredible night

Sheffield United will have taken 0-0 at half-time but they are still looking for that goal, that's what they are waiting for.

Hopefully we'll get a more exciting second period, because Sheffield United have limited Arsenal.

This one is no better! There's no fans in so allow me:

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Tom, you asked me which game I wanted to do.

    I did not choose wisely.

Berge's challenge surely a straight red!

    David G

I'm a spurs fan and even I fail to see how that challenge by Berge isn't a red. Yes he gets the ball but gets it by nothing but luck. Completely out of control and he's a lucky lucky boy to only get a yellow IMO

    Who even knows what's a foul/offside/goal/card any more? I certainly don't.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is moving ok now, well enough to launch into a Mark Hughes scissor kick and plant it tamely at Aaron Ramsdale.

Sherwin Le Monde: How have VAR not even had a look at that challenge on Aubameyang, both feet off the ground so not in full control and studs up into the shin??

VAR will have looked at it - they look at everything in the background - but decided it wasn't a red card.

    Michael Brown
Former Sheff Utd and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Lee Mason is very experienced and he generally knows what's right and what's not. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks in a bit of discomfort but I didn't think the contact was that strong after watching the replay.

Aubameyang is up and on his feet. Moving, well, like a man who's just had 14st of Norwegian through his ankle.

    He'll be OK I think.

I'm on the deadline day live text on Monday.

Could be a few incomings for Scott Parker's side.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 40 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheffield United

Sander Berge was a worried man, he thought this could be red. He's stretching for it, dives in on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and while he gets the ball he clatters the Gabon man on his follow through. It's yellow.

Auba is hurt by this. There's quite a lot of Berge to go around.

  12. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheffield United

Well that really is close! Aaron Ramsdale makes a horror clearance, scuffed right down the middle of the pitch and straight to Dani Ceballos. He finds captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left, who instantly dispatches a dipping curler from range and Ramsdale does well to make a flying save.

    That was heading in!

Here's Eddie Nketiah's (left) and David McGoldrick's (right) touch map from the opening half an hour of the game at the Emirates.

Fair to say they are not getting involved in the sort of areas where they can affect the game as desired.

We're going to have to count that as a shot on target but I think we were hoping for a little bit better than that. It just skimmed very, very slowly into Aaron Ramsdale's hands.
