Right the draw is starting now in theory. But that just means there's some chat going on.

There aren't representatives of the teams in Geneva this time because of, you know, the thing.

Give us Munich, PSG and Madrid and knock us out early. Can't cope with another "classic" quarter-final which sees us dramatically knocked out

  4. Who will teams will want to draw?published at 15:56 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Nielsen's Gracenote: "Porto and Zenit are clearly the teams to draw from pot one as their Euro Club Index rankings put them a good distance behind the other clubs in the highest seeded pot.

"Ajax are the weakest link of pot two despite their 2019 Champions semi-final appearance. They are not at the level of the elite teams from Spain, England and Germany who make up the majority of the second seeds. Compared to most of the second seeds, Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk would also be a decent draw.

"Dynamo Kiev and Krasnodar would be the best draws from the third seeds. Higher seeded clubs will be hoping to avoid RB Leipzig, Internationale and Atalanta.

"Borussia Monchengladbach are clearly the strongest team in the bottom group of seeds. Both Istanbul Basaksehir and Ferencvaros are a good deal weaker than the remainder of the clubs seeded in the final draw pot."

  11. Who could the English teams draw?published at 15:36 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

Liverpool are in pot one and Chelsea and the Manchester clubs are in pot two.

Liverpool could get a relatively easy draw like Ajax, Krasnodar and Ferencvaros.

Or they could get Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Manchester City, United or Chelsea could get Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Marseille.

Or they could get Porto, Krasnodar and Ferencvaros.

Just 39 days have passed since Bayern Munich beat Paris St-Germain in the Champions League final - but it's time for the draw for this season's group stage.

In theory it starts at 16:00 BST but I've done enough of these to know they won't be drawing any teams at that time.
