Declan Rice pings it over to Pablo Fornals on the left as West Ham break with pace. He nods it down for Arthur Masuaku, who hits it first time but it's blocked. It comes out to Tomas Soucek and his powerful effort is blocked.

West Ham eventually win a throw-in on the right but City are having to defend a bit now.

    West Ham 1-0 Man City

Pablo Fornals wins a free-kick in the City half and it's taken quickly by Aaron Cresswell, who lifts it over to Michail Antonio.

The striker's touch is excellent and takes him past Ilkay Gundogan but Joao Cancelo gets a crucial tackle in.

Antonio turns, smiles and gives a thumbs up to Cresswell. He's having fun!

Bodgeman: Are west ham a different beast this season because Moyes has settled, improved 1st team squad, different style of play? Orrrrr.....no pressure from the stands? More confidence etc.

Andy: So many people saying that was weak defending...why not celebrate the brilliance of the strike and strength from Antonio, unsure any centre halves could move him when he sets himself.

Christian: West Ham started so well, Man City so predictable in attack, get it to Cancelo, deep cross or Sterling trying to cut inside on his right. So easy to defend when you know what's coming every time

    West Ham 1-0 Man City

Joao Cancelo runs at Vladimir Coufal on the left and cuts a cross back into the middle.

Sergio Aguero hangs back and there's nobody at the near post so it's comfortable for the keeper.

Arthur Masuaku brings the ball down really nicely on the left. He links up with Michail Antonio, who has come out wide, and he tees up Aaron Cresswell.

But Cresswell's curling cross is deflected and Ederson can gather it in at the near post.

Eric Garcia then tries to play Ilkay Gundogan in down the centre but Lukasz Fabianski reads it.

Russell Gowers: Coufal is looking like a quality signing, bit of a bargain.

He's having a very solid game, Russell.

I love the premier league. Any team can beat any team on their day. Last season relegated Watford smashed the eventual champions Liverpool 3-0, when no one else could lay a glove on them. This season is a different level though. Who needs a super league? This IS a super league!

Ilkay Gundogan deals with the set-piece.

    West Ham 1-0 Man City

It's been a fascinating match so far. City started really well but that goal has knocked the stuffing out of them a little bit.

They are starting to regain a bit of control in terms of possession again though. Can they grab an equaliser before half time?

Eric Garcia has a crack from long range but it's always going wide.

Kyle: Fantastic goal from Antonio. Great start to the game. Both teams look dangerous going forward. Bowen is causing Manchester City all sorts of problems. West Ham have been great to watch of late.

City have had at least one major season-ending injury the last 4 seasons: Gundogan, Mendy, De Bruyne, Laporte/Sane, I'd like to see how Liverpool would have done losing their equivalents!

Bernardo Silva, who has barely been involved so far, lays it off to Riyad Mahrez on the right but he skews his cross into the middle.

David Moyes is still unhappy that Ilkay Gundogan didn't pick up a yellow card for that tug on Declan Rice. He's got a point.

    West Ham 1-0 Man City

Rodri loses possession on the edge of the West Ham boss after a loose pass from Kyle Walker.

It was Declan Rice who got a foot in and he holds off several challenges in the middle to bring the ball out for West Ham.

He's tugged back in the process too but the referee plays advantage. West Ham end up losing it.

    End-to-end!

Michail Antonio is through again. He races away but Eric Garcia does exceptionally well to track back and get a tackle in.

Ederson is smart off his line to gobble it up too. City then go up the other end but Joao Cancelo's low, driven ball across the six-yard area is tamely flicked in at the back post by Riyad Mahrez.

    Lukasz Fabianski grabs it.
