Northampton defender Joe Martin has had a very uncomfortable evening, bundling into the back of the irrepressible James Roberts.

Played at Court Place Farm in a Cup Final as a youngster. As we went out for the second half, my teammate swapped all our clothes around on the pegs as a prank. We lost the game badly and the joke backfired when we returned to the changing rooms in a foul mood. The well-known phrase involving straws and camel's backs came to mind.

Deary me, schoolboy stuff from the visitors.
Northampton goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell and defender Luka Racic are having a right go at each other.
A harmless long ball over the top is easy for Mitchell but Racic decides to head it and the ball runs out of the penalty area.
Mitchell has to quickly peg back to clear, before unleashing a verbal tirade at his team-mate.

I've supported the Cobblers for about 60 years. Seen them in every division from first to fourth and in many different rounds of different clubs. The consistent factor is that they never fail to disappoint. Out of the traps like Mick the Miller then downhill but we never stop hoping. Come on the Cobblers.

From the resulting corner, Jonathan Mitchell has more work to do, diving full stretch to his right this time to make another excellent save from Joe Oastler's header.
Oxford City are all over the Cobblers at the moment, Keith Curle does not look a happy chap.

James Roberts is giving Northampton the runaround here.
A lovely touch sees him take the ball in his stride and he is into the box, but a low shot is pushed away by Jonathan Mitchell.

AV team, get that clipped up!
Oxford City 1-1 Northampton
Absolutely sensational goalline clearance by Oxford City defender Aaron Drewe!!
Northampton man Mark Marshall smashes a low shot from the angle and it beats goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski, you think, ah it's 2-1 but Drewe pops out of nowhere to slide in and divert the ball over the crossbar.
Brilliant stuff.

Hahaha.

Northampton have not capitalised on their early lead but do come forward through Benny Ashley-Seal, whose long range shot deflects wide.

Rodney Marshall: Shamoon, why is Tom Rostance missing out on a rare text commentary of his beloved club? Only asking, as there is nothing wrong with your good self.
Rodney, this is a GREAT question! One that I did ask myself but the way the rota worked out, it fell to myself.
Talking of Rostance...
Oxford City 1-1 Northampton
Our man Tom Rostance, the Cobblers fan, has been bigging up their striker Caleb Chukwuemeka.
Not seen too much from him since that early chance he missed.
Oxford City are holding their own here at the moment.

Love Northampton. Not the same team that went up. Morton went back off loan best player last season, Oliver and Goode sold. Showing this season.

Oxford City are causing Northampton huge issues at the back.
'Corner taken quickly' but a bit too quickly at Harvey Bradbury cannot quite reach a delivery across the six yard box.

Played at Oxford City for Hook Norton veterans a few years ago. Crowd totalled 8. Never thought we would get more than an FA cup fixture there!

Clumsy from Fraser Horsfall, coming in to the back of Oxford City front man Harvey Bradbury.
The home players are not happy and let the referee know their views but you'll have to come back after 9pm to find out what they were saying.
