    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Conor McLaughlin and Stefan Ilsanker are both getting treatment now after a clash of heads.

There's barely been any play for five minutes.

  6. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Shane Ferguson is grimacing as he runs back onto the pitch. Probably not worth playing through the pain in this one in my opinion.

Shane Ferguson is stretching, I think he wants to play on here.

There's something to be said for playing a strike partnership.

Such a rarity in modern-day football, especially on the international stage, it is the second time in his seven matches that Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough has done so from the start.

And Conor Washington and Liam Boyce are making an impact with their willing runs and harrying of the home defence.

Boyce may feel he should have squared to Washington when he had that chance, but their presence at that end of the pitch helped bring the opportunity about.

With Michael Smith having adapted well to his holding midfield role also, it is so far so good for Northern Ireland in Vienna.

Great defending by Shane Ferguson there for NI. A lucky break is just about to land for Xaver Schlager in the box but Ferguson gets in there and is fouled by Schlager.

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Conor Washington could be in here from a long ball... but unfortunately the ball doesn't bounce kindly for him and Austria hack it away.

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Chance for Austria but Xaver Schlager fizzes one over from 22 yards out. Roughly.

  18. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

David Alaba causes a scare with a good corner and then another testing cross but NI get away with it.

  19. Postpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

David Alaba really can play anywhere. He plays at centre-back for Bayern Munich these days but he's on the left wing here.

    The Austrian Stuart Dallas basically.

  20. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Michael Smith gives the ball to David Alaba 20 yards out - don't do that! - but the Bayern Munich man's shot is blocked by Danny Ballard.
