  1. Kovacic bags another to draw Croatia levelpublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    Croatia 2-2 Portugal

    Croatia

It's all go in Croatia as they draw level once again and it's Mateo Kovacic with a second goal. He hasn't scored for his national team in eight years of representing them but has bagged both goals the home side tonight.

    Spain 4-0 Germany

I imagine it's around this time that Premier League managers and fans start to shout 'get xxx off'.

Ferran Torres doesn't want to come off though, he's desperate to score a hat-trick.

There's a moment's panic for Frank Lampard as Timo Werner goes down but he's ok to carry on.

It won't really matter but Eddie Nketiah has missed a penalty. Saved by Marco Molla after the keeper had wiped him out.

  4. Giroud scores againpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    France 3-1 Sweden

    France

Kylian Mbappe comes on and within 70 seconds he's got an assist, picking out Olivier Giroud for a powerful header into the roof of the net.

  5. Portugal take controversial leadpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    Croatia 1-2 Portugal

    Portugal

Portugal have taken the lead but Croatia are fuming!

The ball definitely brushes Diogo Jota's hand but there is no VAR in this tournament and he manages to set up Joao Felix who taps home to put Portugal ahead.

    Controversial.

  6. CLOSE!published at 63 mins

    Spain 4-0 Germany

Almost five and a hat-trick for Ferran Torres!

It's brilliant build-up play from Spain again, and a clever backheel for Koke is dragged inches wide by Torres.

    This is so one-sided.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 62 mins

    Spain 4-0 Germany

Double change for Germany as Gian-Luca Waldschmidt and Florian Neuhaus replace Leroy Sane and Leon Goretzka.

I imagine there's a few smug Manchester City directors tonight watching Ferran Torres outshine Leroy Sane.

    Spain 4-0 Germany

Will Joachim Low be managing Germany at the Euros next year?

They are a side in transition, but he was very lucky to be kept on after they were knocked out of the 2018 World Cup in the group stage, and tonight they have been nothing short of horrific.

What are the chances - the only player to have received a booking in the game has now received a second yellow. Croatia's Marko Rog is sent off.

Within a minute of that happening, Portugal score.

Cristiano's Ronaldo's free-kick dips perfectly in front of goal and Manchester City's Ruben Dias is the man to tap it in and get his first international goal.

GOAL - Spain 4-0 Germanypublished at 54 mins

    Ferran Torres

    This defending, wow.

It's just a mess from Germany. Firstly Ilkay Gundogan tries to intercept a pass but misses, and then the whole defensive shape is just shot from Joachim Low's side.

Spain left-back Jose Gaya is clean through, but rather than shoot he square for Ferran Torres, who does well, with the ball slightly behind him, to control and slot home.

    Spain 3-0 Germany

Leroy Sane is getting fed up here.

He gets cut in half by Jose Gaya and reacts angrily, before flicking out at the left-back during another attack.

The Spanish players are surrounding the Swedish referee but he's having none of it for the time being.

    Spain 3-0 Germany

Leeds defender Robin Koch is having a nightmare tonight, to be honest with you.

He loses possession again, allowing Dani Olmo to stroll through and have a effort well saved by Manuel Neuer before Koke's follow-up is blocked too.

  13. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Spain 3-0 Germany

As I asked for during the first half Timo Werner is indeed playing through the middle this half, with Serge Gnabry playing on the left.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    Spain 3-0 Germany

Spain and Alvaro Morata get us under way again.

Germany make a change at the break as Jonathan Tah replaces Niklas Sule. They can't get any worse defensively.

    HT: Spain 3-0 Germany

The first-half in Sevilla has been stolen by Spain, and Manchester City winger Ferran Torres has been particularly impressive.

He scored Spain's second and also had a couple of really bright moments.

His touch-map, on the left, shows the dangerous areas he's been getting into, in comparison to former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, on the right.

It was only a matter of time!

Eddie Nketiah, the leading scorer for England Under-21s, has his 12th goal of the qualifying group as he slams a shot straight through the goalkeeper again.

Nketiah now has 15 goals at this level, in 14 appearances.

  18. Can you name all the players from Euro 2008 final?published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    Here's a half-time treat/challenge for you.

With 11 major honours between them it doesn't get much bigger than Spain v Germany.

The two may be meeting in the Nations League tonight, but 12 years ago there was a more pivotal clash between them.

How many of the players who featured in the final of Euro 2008 - which Spain won 1-0 - can you recall?

  19. Croatia lead going into the breakpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    HT: Croatia 1-0 Portugal

    Croatia

Just one goal between Croatia and Portugal at half-time and as it stands Croatia keep their spot in Group A and Sweden will be relegated.

The home side settled after the goal and have displayed a slightly more dominant performance in the latter stages of the opening 45 minutes, defensively solid.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2020

    Spain 3-0 Germany

    Germany are getting absolutely mullered.

Spain have been brilliant, Germany less so.
