  1. A repeat of 2018-19 final?

What a thriller that was. A stunning second half of extra-time, one missed penalty, one scored and Championship side Hearts edge out their top-flight city rivals to reach the delayed 2019-20 Scottish Cup final.

It's the second season in a row that Hearts have reached the final. Will it be a repeat of the 2018-19 final?

We'll know that after tomorrow's second semi-final, with holders Celtic facing Aberdeen.

Join us for coverage of that, starting with the earlier kick off in the Scottish Premiership, with leaders Rangers facing Kilmarnock.

  3. Wrong side of fine margins - Ross

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hibs head coach Jack Ross has not complaints about the decision that led to Hearts' winning penalty.

"It's a sore dressing-room," he says. "When you get to this stage of the competition, and when you come out the wrong side of this fixture as well, it hurts.

"The players need to motivate themselves to make sure it doesn't feel like that again.

"They put a lot into today's game. I can't stand here and complain about large parts of the performance. the players gave an awful lot and created an awful lot.

"We came out the wrong side of the fine margins in football."

  4. Fitting we beat Hibs for Zaliukas - Neilson

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson also hads a few words about the death of former team-mate Marius Zalukias.

"Absolutely devastated," he says. "I heard about a minute before the game.

"The players didn't know, I kept it from them. They know now and everyone at the club is devastated.

" I knew Marius very, very well. He was here as a player for a number of years with me. It's fitting today that we beat our arch rivals Hibs in a Scottish Cup game.

"Because, when you think about Marius, the key one is him lifting that cup as the captain when they beat them 5-1. Hopefully this will give slight comfort to the family in this difficult time."

  5. Nobody better than Gordon - Neilson

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson believes that Craig Gordon's display gives Scotland head coach Steve Clarke a selection headache.

"In my opinion, there is nobody better out there," he says of the veteran goalkeeper.

  6. We held our nerve - Neilson

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson says the win goes some way of healing some of "the hurt" at the club for finding themselves relegated after last season was cut short by the pandemic.

"It was a rollercoaster ride for everybody and there was a lot of nail biting in that extra-time, but we've managed to get the win and get through to a Scottish Cup final - and beat our arch rivals here at Hampden again," he tells BBC Scotland.

"At the time, I don't think any of them were penalty kicks, but it's one of them - it's very difficult for the referee out there.

"We rode our luck a bit for our penalty but held our nerve for ours."

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Marius Zaliukas captained Hearts to their 2012 Scottish Cup final win over Hibs.

"I'm shocked," McCann tells BBC Scotland. "Condolences to his family.

  10. Gordon on Nisbet save

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

  11. Gordon dedicates win to Zaliukas

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon has dedicated the win to former Hearts midfielder Marius Zaliukas, whose death at the age of 36 was announced just before kick-ff.

"It's been a long struggle for everybody at the club to get to this point and myself coming back to playing football again and this is what I came back for - for moments like this and to help the club get back to where it belongs," he tells BBC Scotland.

"I will be an emotional day, not just for me. We heard of Marius Zaliukas earlier, so this is for him and his family. He was there with us today keeping some of those balls out."

  12. 'Huge' for Hearts - Gordon

FT: Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon tells BBC Scotland: "That's huge.

"That's what we've been looking for ward to for so long. There have been some dark times for the club, but to face a side who are flying high in the Premiership and match them stride for stride and beat them in the end is huge.

"We have been focused on it for many weeks and it was the reason we came back to pre-season training so early to get ready for this and we've went and done it."

  14. FULL-TIME Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Hearts reach the Scottish Cup final for the 16th time and the second season in succession but in controversial style against their Edinburgh rivals.

Craig Gordon played his part with a brilliant save to deny Kevin Nisbet in the first half before Craig Wighton's opener.

Christian Doidge's equaliser took it to extra-time, when Hearts got the better of two dodgy penalty awards.

Kevin Nisbet sent the first off the crossbar as Hibs missed their great opportunity, but Liam Boyce made no mistakes from his.

  18. 'Brilliant effort'

    Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

    Neil McCann

Former Hearts & Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: It was a brilliant, brilliant effort from Christian Doidge. Just an overhead kick, bicycle style. It was a good height for him, but Craig Gordon makes a really good save
  19. 'Player went down very easily'

    Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Hibernian

Quote Message: For me, it wasn't a penalty kick. I did feel the player did go down very easily. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a penalty kick. It's one of the hardest decisions, particularly when they're running at pace into the penalty area from Former referee Craig Thomson
