  1. Accies look for lightning to strike twicepublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Hamilton Academical may be major underdogs today but they do not need to look too far back for their last away win against Rangers.

Manager Brian Rice secured a 1-0 win back in March, making them the last domestic team to score and win at Ibrox.

David Moyo was Accies' hero that night.

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Everything points to a home win, doesn't it?

Rangers are unbeaten in 18 games in the league and Europe this season and lead the Premiership, while Hamilton are a point behind at the bottom having lost two games in a row with the loss of nine goals.

Those have come amid Covid-19 infections and long-term injuries for key players.

And, while Rangers have won eight home games this season, Hamilton have lost four in a row away from home.

Some bookmakers are offering odds of more than 40/1 for an away win today...

  4. New faces on Hamilton benchpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Injuries have depleted Hamilton's squad and head coach Brian Rice moved to address the situation over the past 48 hours by recruiting Aaron Martin and Nathan Thomas.

Former Exeter City centre-half Martin and ex-Sheffield United winger Thomas are on the bench today.

Charlie Trafford will be out for three months after breaking his ankle, while David Templeton and Kyle Munro are missing and Ronan Hughes and Jamie Hamilton also miss today's game.

  5. Tavernier in spotlightpublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Despite striker Alfredo Morelos creating a new club scoring record in Europe, it is right-back James Tavernier who is Rangers' top marksman this season.

The Ibrox captain has been directly involved in more goals than any other player in the Premiership - scoring six, albeit four of them have come from the penalty spot, and providing five assists.

Overall, he has 10 goals this campaign compared to Morelos' seven.

  6. Morelos momentum?published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

One man who would have left Lisbon on a high despite Rangers' late lapse on Thursday is Alfredo Morelos.

The Colombian striker, on the bench today, scored his side's third goal to break the Glasgow club's all-time European scoring record.

He found the net for the 22nd time in 38 Europa League outings to surpass the total previously set by Ally McCoist.

Manager Steven Gerrard will be hoping it will be a springboard for Morelos to start scoring again domestically, the 24-year-old having not added to his three league goals this season in four games since a 2-2 draw away to Hibernian in September.

  7. Back to league duty after Lisbon dramapublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Top-of-the-table Rangers must be feeling pretty good right now, unbeaten so far this season and yet to concede a league goal at Ibrox.

On Thursday, they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Benfica in the Europa League.

Before the game, they would have probably settled for a point away from home to the Group H favourites.

On the other hand, they will be disappointed to have thrown away a 3-1 lead in the closing stages to a side reduced to 10 men.

  8. 'We've still got a lot of work to do' - Lennonpublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Celtic

"There have been signs that we're improving and then we throw in a Sparta Prague performance," adds Celtic boss Neil Lennon.

"We need to be looking forward and producing better performances like today.

"If we played like that in Europe then we'd be much better off. We've still got a lot of work to do in Europe but it isn't beyond us."

  9. Lennon hails 'magnificent' responsepublished at 14:22 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Celtic

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound: "That was much better. We know that we let ourselves down on Thursday [in the defeat by Sparta Prague] and we tried to iron out a few things in the last couple of days.

  10. Ajer setback for Celticpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Celtic

Celtic boss Neil Lennon confirms that Kristoffer Ajer suffered a recurrence of a groin injury and says the defender will probably miss out for Norway during the international break.

  11. Motherwell boss rues lapses and wasted chancespublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    FT: Motherwell 1-4 Celtic

Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson is a frustrated man as he tells BBC Sportsound: "I don't think I've ever had as many chances against Celtic.

"We had a penalty appeal and two cleared off the line. There was a lot of good, positive stuff but individual errors have cost us today.

"The third goal kills us. It's not a great cross into the box and we have to deal with it, but we don't.

"It's a hard one to take but if we play like that against other sides I'm sure we will get results. Celtic had five chances and scored four, that's the difference."

  13. McGregor, Helander & Morelos on bench for Rangerspublished at 14:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Rangers v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has made five changes to his side following Thursday's 3-3 draw with Benfica with goalkeeper Allan McGregor, defender Filip Helander and Glen Kamara and striker Alfredo Morelos all dropping to the bench and Steven Davis missing out altogether.

Scotland squad keeper Jon McLaughlin starts, Leon Balogun replaces Helander at the back, Scott Arfield has shaken off a knock to take Kamara's place and Kemar Roofe and Jermain Defoe are in attack.

On-loan Amiens midfielder Bongani Zungu could make his debut off the bench.

Helander was at fault for two of the goals lost in Lisbon while Kamara and Morelos were on the scoresheet. Veteran Davis was outstanding in midfield and has a big game coming up for Northern Ireland.
