    Serbia 1-1 Scotland (in extra-time)

Scotland just can't get out. The ball isn't sticking with McBurnie up front, who, as Richard Gordon suggested, hasn't done very much.

Time for Leigh Griffiths to come on and for us to get a free-kick.

It's a very different Scotland now, with Oli McBurnie strolling around up front as opposed to Lyndon Dykes giving absolutely everything for the cause.

  4. Motrovic off for on-top Serbspublished at 21:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Serbia 1-1 Scotland (in extra-time)

Good news for Scotland. Serbian stalwart Aleksandar Mitrovic is off with cramp. Uros Spajic coming on.

However, Steve Clarke's side are toiling. The attitude of "anywhere but near our box" seems to be the order of the day now.

    Leave it out there, boys.

  7. CLOSE!published at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Serbia 1-1 Scotland (in extra-time)

Aleksandar Katai, just go away. The substitute defender has an effort that skitters just wide of the post. That goal has brought Serbia to life

In the words of Taylor Swift, Scotland need to shake it off.

    Sorry...

Top-drawer save. Keeps us in it. Serbia didn't deserve to still be in this, but we look like we are on the ropes now

    David Marshall you absolute diamond.

An incredible shot from the edge of the box is leathered through a ruck of bodies. The Derby County goalkeeper sees it late but hurls himself to his right to tip around the post.

    This could be anyone's now.

  11. Pull your socks uppublished at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Serbia 1-1 Scotland (in extra-time)

If Oli McBurnie's not going to pull his socks above his ankles, he needs to hold the ball up better.

The big substitute isn't getting into the flow here, with a ball up to him just cannoning back off him straight to the Serbian midfield.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Serbia 1-1 Scotland (in extra-time)

A fine effort there from Stephen O'Donnell. The Motherwell right-back fizzes a volley in from 25 yards which is tipped just over. From the resulting corner, Ryan Jack lashes another just over.

A good positive response from Scotland's players, who appear to be holding up better than the rest of us.

It's a sickener. I don't know if it's because he's a substitute and they don't know who is picking him up. It is a real kick in the stomach for Scotland. They are going to need some real mental strength now

GOAL SERBIA 1-1 Scotlandpublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Luka Jovic

The goal had been coming but it's still a painful, painful blow in the 90th minute.

Luka Jovic is left unmarked as a corner is slung in and the striker's downward header bounces off the turf and into the top corner.

So close for Scotland, yet so far.
