    HE HAS TO SCORE!

What a chance for Andy Robertson. Lyndon Dykes holds the ball up magnificently. Serbia are all over the place and floundering. The former Livi man squares the ball for Robertson as he sprints on to the ball from the edge of the box, but his blazing shot goes well over.

  2. Chance wastedpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

Gudelj goes into the book for a bad one down the back of the leg on John McGinn. Time for a free-kick for Scotland...

... but it comes to nothing. Ryan Christie's free-kick drifts all the way through and out for a goal kick. Scotland need to make the most of these chances.

  3. Postpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Serbia 0-0 Scotland

Few minutes gone and the second half has started as the first ended. Scotland comfortable, the ball sticking in the Serbian half, and the rain absolutely pelting down.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

Gulp. The second half is off and running.

It is going better than I expected. You might think their coach is being clever here, but I don't think so. They just look nervous.

Serbia have had the best chance with Lukic, but it has gone a whole lot better than I thought it would be.

We're all a little bit surprised that Scotland aren't under the cosh here. They look very comfortable, they're passing it well, Lyndon Dykes is winning everything in the air. I think he shaved his head to add an extra layer of menace and Serbia don't know what to do with him

So far, so good. But, being Scotland, I imagine you're all watching most of this through the cracks in your fingers. It's like watching Andy Murray in a Grand Slam final x10.

Let's be clear though, Scotland have been the better team. John McGinn arguably should have done better with a shot from inside the box, and most of the ball has been seen by the visitors. But there have been flashes of danger from the hosts, particularly in a long-range drive from Sasa Lukic. But, let's be positive.

We are absolutely going to win the Euros next year.

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

Declan Gallagher went into the referee's book just moments before the break, although, according to Willie Miller, it's a tad on the soft side.

Let's hope it won't come back and bite the Motherwell man. He's been solid in the last few matches.

I think it is a foul, Declan Gallagher's arm is up, but is it a booking? I don't think it's a booking.

    Serbia 0-0 Scotland

From nowhere, Kieran Tierney sparks into life like a Roman Candle on a damp bonfire night in your nan's back garden. The Arsenal defender strides on to the ball looks to shoot, gets his head down and slices into the Serbian box, pulls a cute cutback along the six-yard box, triggering panic in the home box.

They eventually scramble the ball to safety, but a strong sign of intent.

It is a high press. The front three - Dykes, Christie and McGinn - will be lucky to keep this up for 90 minutes in these conditions

John McGinn should have done better there, he should have got more power behind it. It was a weak effort.

    John McGinn close for Scotland!

The ball breaks to the Aston Villa man on the left on the counter attack. He bursts into the Serbian box on the left, cuts back and fires a shot straight at the home keeper. Rajkovic parries, but gathers just before McGinn pounces again.

  20. CLOSE!published at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

Oh my word. Serbia inches away.

Aleksandar Mitrovic does superbly well to hold the ball up on the edge of the Scotland box. He lays it off for Sasa Lukic, and his fizzing drive skittles along the turf, whistling by David Marshall's left post on its way.

    Heart. In. Mouth.
