  13. Dundee defending 'criminal' - McPakepublished at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Hibernian 4-1 Dundee

Speaking on Sportsound, Dundee boss James McPake was disappointed with the manner of his side's collapse.

"It was a bit harsh, we did ever so well to get back in the game, but to lose three goals in six minutes is criminal," he said.

"Loads of positives to take, we came up against a good Premiership side and held our own for large periods but we need to be better in our box in particular."

    FT: Hibernian 4-1 Dundee

James McPake's side are through to the last-16 of the League Cup. They just won't be one of the seeded teams.

Hibernian's victory means they win Group B and are seeded for tonight's draw alongside the three other best group winners - Hearts, Dunfermline and Livingston. Aberdeen, Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell are also seeded, after their participation in Europe.

  18. FULL-TIME - Hibernian 4-1 Dundeepublished at 18:18 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    Great game, that.

Hibernian took the lead in the first half through Stevie Mallan's wonder-strike, but should have extended their advantage on a number of occasions.

That allowed Dundee back into the game, and they fully deserved their equaliser when Christie Elliot finished past Dillon Barnes.

But that awakened a sleepy Hibs, who promptly retook the lead when Jordan McGhee turned the ball into his own net. Substitutes Jamie Gullan and Melker Hallberg then made sure of the victory and added some gloss to the scoreline.

    Hibernian 4-1 Dundee

    Well, that was hectic.

Hibs got a bit of a kick on the backside there when Dundee equalised. The visitors probably wish they hadn't bothered.

Three goals in seven minutes has undoubtedly given Hibernian a seeded spot in the draw for the last-16 of the Scottish League Cup, which I'll bring to you live after this game...
