And on that note, we will bid you goodnight after a wonderful day's football - particularly for the folk of a little town in Lancashire.

It looked for quite some time today that we would not have a giant-killing to report but then along came Chorley and their remarkable - and fully-deserved - second-half turnaround at London Road.

Wigan and Peterborough have fallen before them - the question now is, who's next?

That will be answered in Monday evening's third-round draw but, before then, we have several more potential shocks in store on Sunday afternoon so, please, join us back here then.

We had four games live on the BBC Sport website and iPlayer earlier today - but we're doubling your delight on Sunday by giving fans the choice of eight different ties.

One football-mad viewer earlier sent us a picture of him watching today's three live 15:00 GMT kick-offs on three different screens - we challenge you, sir, to do the same with these eight games on Sunday!

  3. Sunday's fixturespublished at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    (13:30 GMT unless stated)

We're exactly halfway through the FA Cup second round after today's action, with 10 ties still to be played - and nine of them are scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Chorley's stunning win at Peterborough means we are guaranteed at least four non-league sides in the third-round hat.

That's because Stockport host Yeovil and Marine welcome Havant & Waterlooville in two all non-league ties on Sunday, while Boreham Wood travel to Canvey Island on Monday.

There are four other non-league sides in action against league opposition too - can Barnet, Darlington, Dagenham & Redbridge or Oxford City replicate Chorley's giant-killing heroics?

    • AFC Wimbledon v Crawley Town
    • Barnet v Milton Keynes Dons
    • Bristol Rovers v Darlington
    • Carlisle United v Doncaster Rovers
    • Mansfield Town v Dagenham & Redbridge
    • Shrewsbury Town v Oxford City
    • Stevenage v Hull City
    • Stockport County v Yeovil Town
    • Marine v Havant & Waterlooville (14:45 GMT)

I'm ecstatic. It is a monumental achievement and it wasn't lucky either. The character of the boys was excellent and we thoroughly deserved the win. We have a good side and a lot of belief. The players are singing. Give me Liverpool or Manchester City please.

If you are just joining us, here are the goals which saw Chorley pull off another FA Cup giant-killing.

Connor Hall notched the equaliser for the non-league club, before Lewis Baines put the Magpies ahead shortly afterwards.

The visitors then missed a penalty, but progressed to the third round anyway - adding Peterborough the the first-round scalp of Wigan Athletic.

There is some chat that Lewis Baines' match-winning strike took a deflection off team-mate Mike Calveley on the way into the Posh net.

That might be the subject of heated discussion in the Chorley dressing-room.

Either way the National League North side are in the hat for the third round for the first time in their 137-year history.

  8. Chorley 'always have belief'published at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Quote Message

It just dropped to me. I hit it with my weaker foot and it just hit the back of the net. They scored early on but they didn't do much to bother us. We knew we could get a result. We are not doing great in the league but we always have that belief in games

    What a comeback from Chorley.

The Magpies trailed 1-0 at the break but goals from Connor Hall and Lewis Baines have seen Jamie Vermiglio's side pull off another upset.

Posh put out a strong side, and the League One club had reached the third round in 13 of the past 14 seasons.

But Darren Ferguson's side were second best for much of the game.
