    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Barcelona

First real chance for Lionel Messi to do something as Barcelona get a free kick on the right but the ball in is cleared. Atletico Madrid then break quickly and Marcos Llorente gets in behind on the right before whipping in a dangerous cross that is put behind for a corner.

No one side taking control of this game yet. Very open.

Barcelona are keen to get the ball out to the right to Ousmane Dembele as often as possible but Atletico Madrid have learned from that early scare and are keeping that side of the pitch well defended.

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Barcelona

And now a brilliant chance at the other end as Saúl Ñíguez hits a first-time effort from a cut back at goal from the edge of the area.

It is a great hit denied only by an equally good one-handed save by Marc-André ter Stegen.

    What an opening five minutes!

  4. CLOSE!published at 4 mins

Ooooh almost a first goal against his former club in La Liga for Antoine Griezmann!

It is good work from Ousmane Dembélé as he pushes the ball past the defender on the right and whips in a low cross, Griezmann sticks out a boot but the ball flies just over the bar.

    Good chance.

Must win game for Barcelona? Arguably if they really are to be in the title battle then it is.

A win is easier said than done, however, against a side that is unbeaten in their last 23 league games - the longest run in Europe's top leagues.

It is quite a strange feeling to look at the La Liga table and having to look down to halfway to see Barcelona's name.

The Spanish giants haven't had the best starts to a season under Ronald Koeman as they sit 10th.

The good news is win tonight and they could jump up to fifth.

The bad news is they face the only side in La Liga that has yet to taste defeat this season...
