Kev: Unpopular opinion - Fabinho MAY be a better defender than Van Dijk!

Noel Fitzpatrick: If winning the ball back was worth a quarter of a goal, Jordan Henderson would have more quarters than a jukebox.

Liverpool have scored in all 14 Premier League matches this season. It equals their second-longest scoring run from the beginning of a PL campaign: 2019/20 (27) and 2001/02 (14).

Palace are the next to threaten though from a set-piece, Jordan Henderson makes a hash of his first clearance but just about gets it away.

Jota came in running from day 1 at Liverpool, Minamino has been a slow burn but they will both be a big asset for Klopp.

BBC sport hold a moment of silence for those who have captained Salah today on Fantasy. If he comes on for a 15 minute jog at the end of the game I'll cry.

Alisson does really well, twice. He's off his line and out of his area to slide in and tackle Wilfried Zaha who was running on to a smart pass, and then he's quickly back between the sticks to catch Luka Milivojevic's lofted effort.

Have Liverpool even got a white away kit this year? A light one was required, anyway.

Palace have settled a bit now after that early setback and are looking better. Although as I say that Sadio Mane threatens to run through on goal but he's closed out.

Agreed - white would have been better for Liverpool today.

Andrew Walker: Very happy for Minamino, will do him the world of good to settle better in the squad with a well taken PL goal under his belt

Joe: This 'kit colour / pitch shadow' combo is absolutely awful. Which player is which!?

    Unlucky! Or rather great defending!

Wilfried Zaha gets clear on the left, onside, and fairly drills in an early cross that catches the Liverpool defence square. It would be the simplest of tap-ins for Jordan Ayew but Fabinho just about reaches out a toe to turn it away.

Very early days and all that but Liverpool have a six-point gap at the top of the league as it stands.

Better from Palace as Jeffrey Schlupp surges down the right and wins a corner. Liverpool clear though.

I know you were wondering so can tell you that Takumi Minamino is the seventh Japanese player to score in the Premier League, after Junichi Inamoto, Hidetoshi Nakata, Shinja Kagawa, Maya Yoshida, Shinji Okazaki and Yoshinori Muto.

The highest praise you can give Takumi Minamino for that goal is that Mo Salah couldn't have taken the chance any better.

Liverpool are bossing this in the south London sunshine. Jordan Henderson is dropping into the defence at times to dictate the play.

That goal will do Takumi Minamino the world of good.

I was at the game against Fulham last week and he did OK when he come on, he started to get on the ball, Liverpool were starting to add pressure when he was on the pitch, so he didn't do too badly.

Good for him to get a goal.

It's the second time Liverpool have scored in the opening three minutes of a league game this season, Sadio Mane dis so against Everton in October.

And that's Takumi Minamino's first Premier League goal in his 18th appearance.

    Takumi Minamino (3 mins)

    Well that didn't take long!

The champions lead and it's a very nice goal indeed. A long ball into the area finds Sadio Mane with his back to goal, he holds it up well and lays it inside to Takumi Minamino.

You expect the forward to hit it first time but he dummies a shot, fools the sliding Nathaniel Clyne, and buys enough space to bury a low finish into the far corner.

A low winter sun is in Alisson's eyes as he deals with not the best backpass, get a cap on!

Roberto Firmino then puts in a good ball which Gary Cahill stretches to clear.
