Bournemouth break the deadlock inside eight minutes, and it's the combination of David Brooks and Dominic Solanke was the key.

Brooks broke through midfield, driving at the heart of the Terriers defence, and slipped a little pass through to Solanke, who waited for Ben Hamer to commit and just dinked it over him and into the net.

Big cheers around Dean Court, the Cherries are up and running.

Are things looking up for Tony Pulis and Sheffield Wednesday?

The Owls have made a good start in this Yorkshire derby.

Barry Bannan plays a ball over the top of the Barnsley defence, and Tykes keeper Jack Walton is beaten to the ball on the edge of his area.

Josh Windass touches the ball past Walton and finishes into an empty net.

A soft goal to give away for the visitors.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Huddersfield

Bright start from Bournemouth at Dean Court, where there are fans in the ground for the first time in nine months.

There was enthusiastic support as players ran out onto the field, and the hosts are pinging the ball about.

Ben Hamer has taken in a couple of crosses already, as the Cherries move forward with purpose.

There is also a pigeon, coolly strolling about, seemingly unaware of the hurly-burly around it.

Swans boss Steve Cooper told BBC Radio Wales:

"Jamal Lowe showed his threat and we are so pleased for him.

"We were good at imposing our style today. Our positioning was excellent, we found the space really well.

"We trusted our positioning and ability to get the ball in dangerous areas.

"I am really pleased to dominate the game like we did, we were really competitive as well, we defended set pieces excellently.

"This was about a derby game we had to win and we did, we are really really happy, our fans deserve it."

It's a big game in the bottom six as two promoted sides meet at Adams Park.

Coventry City are six points above the relegation zone, and seven ahead of Wycombe Wanderers.

The Chairboys have a chance to keep the Sky Blues in the scrap to avoid the drop - but the form guide is against them.

Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe are seven without a win but Nottingham Forest and Rotherham are just two points above them in the table. And 2,000 fans are in attendance to cheer them on.

Coventry are unbeaten in six yet Mark Robins' men are yet to win away in the Championship this season.

    Chris HughtonImage source, Getty Images

Chris Hughton has not had the best of times since taking charge of Nottingham Forest in October.

He won his first game in charge against Blackburn and since then has only registered two victories in 10 games.

Forest have lost five of their past six in a winless run which has seen them score just one goal in that time.

The Tricky Trees are a solitary point above the relegation zone.

Visitors Brentford travel to the City Ground on a 10-match unbeaten run.

The Bees, last year's beaten play-off finalists, sit just outside the top six and have kept a clean sheet in their past four trips away from home.

Swans forward Jamal Lowe told Sky Sports:

"We knew it was a massive game for everyone.

"I am just happy to get the two goals today.

"The first goal was scruffy but they all count and the second one was a bit nicer!

"It felt like a derby. All the tackles, no one was pulling out.

"This one is for the fans, we know how much it means to them."

Watford, the third of the relegated sides, are also in the thick of the mix at the top.

The Hornets bounced back from a home defeat by Cardiff to overcome Rotherham in midweek, with Troy Deeney bagging his second goal of the campaign.

Vladimir Ivic's men have only been beaten once in their past eight.

Hosts Birmingham are on a high after away wins at top-six pair Bristol City and Reading.

The latter three points was secured despite playing with 10 men for the final 20 minutes against the Royals after Harlee Dean was sent off.

Neil Etheridge saved Lucas Joao's resulting penalty to help Aitor Karanka's men to an impressive victory.

    Bournemouth v Huddersfield (15:00 GMT)

Bournemouth are hanging onto the coat-tails of Norwich as they too look to secure an immediate return to the top flight.

The Cherries have slipped to three points behind Norfolk's finest following a run of one win in four games.

Carlos Corberan is finding his feet since taking charge of Huddersfield Town this summer.

But the Spaniard has led his side to three wins in their past four, and they sit six points off the play-off places.

Forward Josh Koroma has three goals in his past four appearances, but is out for three months and will be a big loss. Much is expected of Carel Eiting in midfield.

Dorset is in in Tier 2, so there are 2,000 fans in the Vitality Stadium for this one.

Cherries boss Jason Tindall has named 16-year-old Ajani Burchall among the substitutes.

  16. Canaries on song for Blackburn clashpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2020

    Blackburn v Norwich (15:00 GMT)

Norwich City had a slow start to the season, losing two of their first four following their relegation from the Premier League.

But that hangover has been brushed away, and the Canaries have risen to the top of the Championship after registering nine wins in their subsequent 13 games.

Daniel Farke's side travel to Blackburn looking to secure a third successive victory.

Rovers are the division's top scorers with 31 goals in their 17 games, but drew a blank when they went down 1-0 at Bristol City in midweek.

But that was a first defeat in eight for Tony Mowbray's men, who have won their past three at Ewood Park.
