    Burnley 1-1 MK Dons

That was almost the plot twist.

Matthew Lowton, fresh off the Burnley bench, makes an error and Scott Fraser almost makes him pay the full price.

  2. Postpublished at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    QPR 0-0 Fulham

Joe Bryan embarks on a promising run into the QPR box but his floated cutback is too close to Seny Diang.

Now Bryan is down with an injury and that is a concern for Scott Parker because he has used all his substitutes.

  3. Postpublished at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackpool 2-2 West Brom

Really nice build up play from Blackpool.

Neil Critchley's side are patient as they work the ball neatly down the left, before Matthew Virtue takes aim from distance but fails to trouble David Button.

  4. 'No doubt the better team won'published at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: Stoke 0-4 Leicester

    Stoke City

Stoke boss Michael O'Neill: "We were against a very good team and they demonstrated that. First half we gave ourselves a chance we didn't take, and were then undone by a real piece of quality.

"Once the second goal went in it was going to be difficult for us and we made a few changes. We'll look back, there are things defensively we possibly should have done better. Leicester were excellent and showed their quality. No doubt the better team won the game."

  5. Postpublished at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Burnley 1-1 MK Dons

MK Dons are looking a little shell-shocked after that 90+4 minute equaliser from Burnley's Matej Vydra. They are struggling to string passes together, while Burnley striker Joel Mumbongo is looking dangerous every time he runs with the ball.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:07 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackpool 2-2 West Brom

Jerry Yates creates space for a cross from the right but his ball in fails to find the waiting Gary Madine.

Dara O'Shea replaces Lee Peltier in the West Brom defence, while Demetri Mitchell is on for the hosts.

Not my fault if players don't convert the chances!

    QPR 0-0 Fulham

A couple of changes to start extra time as Antonee Robinson and Denis Odoi come on for Fulham, replacing Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kenny Tete.

QPR also make a double change as Conor Masterson replaces Geoff Cameron and Niko Hamalainen comes on for Bright Samuel.

    Extra time is under way...

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Burnley 1-1 MK Dons

Extra-time is under way, but without MK Dons boss Russell Martin who has been sent off for his protestations to referee Jon Moss at full-time.

    Emotions running high.

  11. Postpublished at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackpool 2-2 West Brom

It's the League One side pressing for a third at the start of extra-time but West Brom are able to break.

The Blackpool defence looks stretched as the ball is cut back to Filip Krovinovic, but he fires over and a good chance is wasted.

  12. 'We were excellent'published at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: Stoke 0-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers: "It was very good. We stayed strong for 15 minutes or so when Stoke started well. After that we were excellent. The first goal is important and from that point we were very good.

"I thought at half-time we needed to be quicker to second balls and press the game with more urgency, that then gave us the tempo in the game.

"We have a good team that is mobile and it was about making sure we ran into the spaces, nice and aggressive."

  13. Postpublished at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackpool 2-2 West Brom

Grant Ward's corner isn't dealt with by West Brom and falls to Sullay Kaikai on the opposite side.

Substitute Kaikai floats an excellent cross back in, but it evades everyone and drifts just wide of the far post.

  14. 'Our goals were real quality'published at 17:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: Stoke 0-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester goalscorer Harvey Barnes: "We are very happy with that, in spells we played well and other times we weren't as good. Get yourself in the box and one in 10 might drop for you, so I am happy with that. Our goals throughout the game were real quality.

"It is a trophy we have never won, so it is an opportunity for us to progress and hopefully have a good cup run. Momentum is massive in football, when you're on a run you want to keep that going."

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

A poor touch by Neeskens Kebano on the edge of the area and the faintest glimmer of a goal before full time is gone.

On to extra time we go...

Vydra's last-gasp goal sends tie to extra time

    At the death!

It is pretty much the last kick of the 90 minutes as Matej Vydra slides in at the far post and pokes home an equaliser.

A gut punch of a goal for MK Dons. A lifeline for the Clarets.

We are booked in for another 30 minutes of extra time. And Burnley are surely favourites now...
