    Bristol Rovers 1-1 Sheffield United

The ball is in the Rovers net, but it won't count. It is a neat finish from McGoldrick but in the process of setting it up Lundstram allowed the ball to go out of play for a goal-kick.

  2. goal

GOAL - Wycombe 3-0 Prestonpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Josh Knight (25 mins)

Wow. Wycombe are coasting after three goals in the opening 25 minutes.

It's so simple for the hosts too, as a free-kick is lofted into the penalty area and Jason McCarthy's pass allows Josh Knight to slot in from close range.

  5. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Stoke 0-0 Leicester

Some serious experience in that Stoke central midfield with Joe Allen and John Obi Mikel. Alongside Sam Clucas, they face a difficult afternoon up against a lively Leicester midfield trio.

Wilfred Ndidi looks to set the visitors away but there are plenty of red and white bodies behind the ball. It's worked left to Harvey Barnes, who cuts on to his right and trickles an effort wide of the near post.

    Bristol Rovers 1-1 Sheffield United

    Michael Brown
Former Leeds midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I mentioned the quality of the ball, how far wide it was. It was so far away from Sheffield United's goal. It was a drifting, out-swinging ball and there was Alfie Kilgour just raising very, very high. Fabulous header and he gave Aaron Ramsdale no chance.

  7. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackpool 0-0 West Brom

Much, much better from West Brom.

Matheus Pereira tees up Conor Gallagher, who drags his shot narrowly wide of the far post. That's by far the closest they have come to an opener.

  8. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    QPR 0-0 Fulham

Joe Bryan almost puts Fulham ahead with a lob from 40 yards after pouncing on a poor clearance but his attempt floats just wide of goal.

Ben Coker powers past Jordan Garrick and is in on goal for Swansea. He decides to square for Viktor Gyokeres but the ball is behind his team-mate.

I think it is totally unfair that some matches in the FA Cup 3rd round are subject to VAR scrutiny whilst others are not. Sure it should be all or nothing

    Wycombe 2-0 Preston

Preston have had over 60% possession but they're struggling to do anything with it.

Wycombe are allowing them to come so far before turning on the press and forcing the visitors back. Gareth Ainsworth will be delighted with how this is going.

  12. goal

GOAL - Bristol Rovers 1-1 Sheffield Unitedpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Alfie Kilgour

    Media caption,

Kilgour heads Gas level against Sheffield United

    Superb header!

Rovers haven't really threatened but they make the very most of a free-kick wide right. It is swung into the mixer where Alfie Kilgour rises highest to put a powerful header past the diving Aaron Ramsdale.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackburn 0-0 Doncaster

Taylor Richard scampers into the Blackburn box, leaving a couple of defenders choking on fumes, but can only screw his side-foot finish wide of the far post as home goalkeeper Aynsley Pears comes out to meet him.

  14. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    QPR 0-0 Fulham

Ilias Chair is a really lively presence in the QPR attack. He floats a lovely ball towards the far post but Joe Bryan gets to it ahead of Todd Kane to put behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 MK Dons

    That was superb.

MK Dons goalkeeper Lee Nicholls plunges to his left to make a great reflex save, pushing away Ashley Barnes' far-post side-foot volley.

  16. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Stoke 0-0 Leicester

Leicester are popping it about nicely and finding some success down the flanks, especially on the left with James Justin and Harvey Barnes.

Justin does well to get into a crossing position for the Premier League outfit but only has Ayoze Perez to aim for in the box.

  17. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackpool 0-0 West Brom

West Brom are yet to trouble the Blackpool defence, as Lee Peltier is flagged offside following a ball over the top.

Daniel Gretarsson then gets enough on his header back to Chris Maxwell to prevent Filip Krovinovic from stealing in.

  18. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Bournemouth 0-0 Oldham

Close! Philip Billing is found infield by David Brooks but the central midfielder's low drive is wide of the upright.

  19. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Blackburn 0-0 Doncaster

The first effort in anger at Ewood Park as Doncaster's Tyreece John-Jules' shot from 15 yards and a tightening angle is smothered at source by goalkeeper Aynsley Pears.

  20. Postpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Exeter 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

The Owls are trying to play out from the back but have so far failed to really stretch the Exeter defence. Adam Reach manages to gather the ball in the opposition penalty box but looks up and has no one in support.
