    Chorley 1-0 Derby County

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Do you know what? They have decided to start this game going back to front, an aerial bombardment but there was more subtlety to that goal.

The movement was not towards the ball, the movement was away from the ball, to get to the back post. That was brilliantly executed, very, very impressive!

    Everton 1-0 Rotherham

Rotherham have sprung into life! Matthew Olosunde drives into the box and forces a good save from Robin Olsen. The ball deflects out to Crooks, whose goalbound effort is blocked before Daniel Barlaser forces Olsen into another good save with a rising shot.

The Millers really should have scored from one of those chances.

    Norwich 2-0 Coventry

That's the second time Coventry striker Maxime Biamou has been through on goal, and once again he pulls his shot wide of the far post.

This chance comes from a much more difficult angle, and the Frenchman has the pace to escape the Norwich defence, but he needs to start finding the target before Norwich pull further away.

    Connor Hall (10 mins)

    The non-league side lead!!

Chorley have seen off Wigan and Peterborough in the FA Cup so far this season and now they are ahead against Championship Derby.

It is a scrappy goal to concede as far as the visitors are concerned as they struggle to deal with a long throw before Connor Hall nods the ball over the line.

No goalkeeper on the bench for Chorley? Oh wow, that's a concern!

If Matt Urwin has to come off, what a devastating day for him. No doubt he was looking forward to this opportunity for years.

Karl: Calling for a circuit breaker or a halt to the football season when we are half way through isn't the answer. The whole season shouldn't have had gone ahead now you're looking at congested fixtures, injuries, fitness.

  7. 'Football should stop'published at 12:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert on Football Focus

One or two people last week shouted for a circuit breaker, that’s the bare minimum. I’d be all for it. As much as we love football and as much as we love the FA Cup it just isn’t the same as everyone knows. More than 1,300 people died yesterday alone.

People will ask what happens to the Champions League and to the Euros? Just forget about them for a while. Things are far more important. We all love football, I've been involved with in for 40 odd years or so but I’ve got to the point where I'm thinking ‘you know what, we should stop for a while’.

Let's take stock of what we are doing and where we are going.

    Nottingham Forest 1-0 Cardiff

Not much happening in Nottingham as the hosts continue to hold onto their one-goal lead. Cardiff have come into it a bit more but are yet to draw a save out of Jordan Smith.

    Chorley 0-0 Derby

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chorley are leathering it forward at every opportunity. Everything has gone forward. None of your passing it out, playing it out from the defence much. They will play it long every time. It's going to be a bombardment of the Derby defence.

  10. CLOSE!published at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Chorley 0-0 Derby

Big change for Derby as Cameron Cresswell is sent through on goal by a superb ball by Isaac Hutchinson. Cresswell tries to round Matt Urwin in the Chorley goal and goes down as Urwin gets a hand to the ball. Great save.

    Norwich 2-0 Coventry

Norwich counter following a Coventry free-kick, but Todd Cantwell is caught as he attempts to cut inside and close in on goal.

There's a break in play as Cantwell receives some treatment, but to the relief of Daniel Farke he looks fine to continue.

  12. Postpublished at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Everton 1-0 Rotherham

Rotherham's first half-chance of the game sees Michael Ihiekwe turn on the edge of the box and hook an effort well over the crossbar.

Soon after, Michael Smith blazes a better opportunity wide. Couple of warning shots across the Everton bow.

    Luton 0-0 Reading

Signs that Reading are coming into the game now. They've broken down the flanks a couple of times, but have failed to find a decent ball at the end of each attack.

    Chorley 0-0 Derby

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Parts of the pitch here at Chorley are rock hard. You don't suspect it'll be a brilliant, beautiful footballing game. But you never know! That's the beauty of the game, the FA Cup. I don't even know who are favourites?!

    Boreham Wood 0-0 Millwall

Millwalll have the chance to cause trouble in the Boreham Wood box with a free-kick, but Scott Malone's cross is hit too hard and goes straight out of play.

The Championship side have had 65% of the ball, but they're being frustrated so far.

  16. Postpublished at 12:18 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Chorley 0-0 Derby

The Chorley staff did a top job clearing all the snow off the pitch this morning to ensure the game could go ahead but there's still a dusting around the edge of the pitch as the linesman discovers when he slips over by the corner flag.

    Chris Latchem

I wonder if this is a bit of a shop window for Cenk Tosun. January transfer window is open and he has barely played all season and he's just scored. One or two clubs might like what they see.

    Norwich 2-0 Coventry

Any signs of a Coventry fightback at Carrow Road?

Not just yet, as the hosts' Todd Cantwell sends a curling shot from the edge of the penalty area narrowly wide of the post.

Luton continue to press. A looping header from a corner is palmed away by Luke Southwood. There were orange-shirted men lurking, ready to pounce.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Chorley 0-0 Derby

It is a lovely winter day at Chorley - crisp and clear with snow capped hills in the distance.

This is massive game for the hosts - win this and they will have won more FA Cup games this season than in their entire history.

Massive game for the Derby youngsters too - 11 debutants today.
