What a chance, and what a double save!

I think Steve Bruce will be happy with the way his side have played in the second half. They've had seven shots, albeit just one on target, and probably the best chance of the game that Andy Carroll put wide.

Marcus Forss has a shot blocked from outside the area as Brentford win successive corners. Both are dealt with by Middlesbrough.

Tyrese Fornah needs some treatment after an awkward fall. He looks like he's going to be okay to carry on, though he's doing the "run it off" a little gingerly at the moment.

Andy Carroll will be disappointed with that chance, all of Newcastle will with that set-play. It was too high for Carroll but he has done very well for the team today, he really has.
