Tom P: Marine aren't doing too bad here, but fair play to Tottenham, they're not mucking about. Who'd have thought Brazilians would thrive on a cold evening in Crosby?

James Stevenson: Vinicius with a first half hat-trick. Is that why he wears No.45?

Merseyside Police have issued a statement after some Marine supporters gathered to watch the Spurs coach arrive at the Rossett Park Stadium ahead of kick-off:

"A small gathering took place ahead of the arrival of the team coaches, and road closures were put in place to facilitate this arrival safely," said Superintendent Andy Robinson.

"The vast majority of people present were adhering to social distancing measures and those who were not were advised by officers. “As we have done throughout this pandemic, we will always strive to encourage people to disperse and go home peacefully.

"But where we face blatant breaches of legislation, people ignoring the restrictions and even obstructing police from carrying out their duty, our officers will not hesitate to take enforcement action.

"Those attending have now left the area and we hope everyone enjoys the occasion safely at home.”

Marine did really well and frustrated Tottenham and kept things tight and compact.

We said earlier about Spurs' attitude and it's been spot on and they've moved the ball with pace which I think is key.

Sam: Marine need to close down Spurs. I know there’s a gulf in class, but if you back off any team at any level, you are going to get scored on.

Harvey White has been very tidy in the Tottenham midfield. He looks a prospect.

It's a lovely finish but there was no pressure on him at all. He's got a cultured left foot and just works himself around him.

The keeper is frustrated but again there's nothing he could do about it.

Lovely finish from Carlos Vinicius for his hat-trick!

The Spurs forward latches on to the bouncing ball in the Marine box and just guides a neat, looping finish into the far corner for Tottenham's fourth.

It left Bayleigh Passant stranded in the hosts' goal.

It's a quick break and wing-back James Joyce comes charging on to the ball at the top of the box, but Joe Rodon dives across to make a solid block.

Right, Marine need to get through the next few minutes without conceding another. They were competing really well until those quickfire goals.

Boss Neil Young won't want his side to change their set-up yet.

To execute that, from 20 yards, with such ease. Lucas Moura is another player who has had more and more ball - it's difficult for any keeper. I don't care who you are, it is a very good free-kick.
