    Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen

The game keeps flowing from end to end. Curtis Main has a lovely touch to put the ball into the path of Connor McLennan, but he doesn't catch it as well as he would like and Kilmarnock's Rory McKenzie clears.

McLennan is still looking for his first Aberdeen goal since a 2-2 draw against Kilmarnock in March.

    Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen

Ryan Hedges has to head behind a Calum Waters cross behind for a corner that was aimed at Eamonn Brophy. He whipped the ball in early and caused panic in the Aberdeen defence.

    Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen break again, and Connor McLennan has a shooting chance, but hits it against the legs of Alan Power.

Before that, Kilmarnock appealed for a penalty for handball, but TV replays show it hit the body of Jonny Hayes rather than the arm.

    Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen

It's Curtis Main having to show his defensive qualities as Kilmarnock's Eamonn Brophy gets onto a clever low ball and chips it into the middle.

Aaron Tshibola then delivers another neat ball from the other side of the box but it's too high for Nicke Kabamba.

But, the home side are having the better of the game since going a goal behind.

    Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen

An absolute sitter from Aberdeen. Matty Kennedy teases the defender and sends the ball right on the money for Andrew Considine at the back post, but he heads it over.

The referee spares his blushes by giving a free-kick for a push from Considine on Kirk Broadfoot so it wouldn't have counted anyway.

A couple of decent set-pieces from Kilmarnock as they bid for an equaliser, but Aberdeen pack the penalty box and defend them well.

The throw-in from Kilmarnock was abysmal, giving the ball back to Aberdeen. Danny Rogers was stranded by the deflection off Stuart Findlay.

Aberdeen break the deadlock. Ryan Hedges's shot takes a wicked deflection off Stuart Findlay to take it past goalkeeper Danny Rogers, but the Welsh international will be claiming it - his eighth goal of the season

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

A foul by Lewis Ferguson gives Kilmarnock a free-kick, and an opportunity for the home side.

Eamonn Brophy is over it and puts into the side netting, although goalkeeper Joe Lewis looked to have had it covered.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Kilmarnock's Calum Waters has taken a sore one, with Connor McLennan volleying a clearance off his face.

We've all had them on a cold day. They're not nice.

Willie Miller is not a happy man with Aberdeen forward Curtis Main not taking that shot on right before the break.

It's really difficult to understand what went through his mind. He just relinquishes all responsibility to take it on. I would need to sit down with him in a darkened room and ask him, and probably have to wait an answer to get an answer. I don't even know if he knows what he was doing

Not much in the game. It's marginally, and very marginally, Aberdeen.

  18. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeenpublished at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2020

No goals but it's not been too bad a game at Rugby Park.

Kilmarnock's main threats have come from the four corners they've managed to win, with some decent deliveries into the box.

Connor McLennan, Curtis Main and Matty Kennedy have all been lively for the visitors, with Andrew Considine also putting a header just past the post.

  19. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

A real chance for Aberdeen right on the half-time whistle.

Curtis Main bursts down the right. He has the option of taking on a shot or knocking the ball through to Ryan Hedges who had matched his run. He elects for the second option but plays a poor ball and the opportunity is gone.

  20. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Two good chances for Kilmarnock. Chris Burke flashes an inviting ball across the box and Matty Kennedy has to knock it wide for a corner.

Then Stuart Findlay gets to the corner at the near post and Curtis Main deflects it past.

Goalkeeper Joe Lewis eventually collects the second delivery.
