Here we go again then after a long tea break and it certainly continues to be wintry outside for many.

We brought you all the action from across the Championship, League One and League Two earlier, but now our focus is solely on the Championship this evening.

We're in the Potteries for the last fixture of the day as Stoke City host Bournemouth in a game both sides we'll be keen to get a result in, not just to start their year on the right note, but to also reaffirm their promotion credentials.

• Norwich City survive a late scare against Barnsley to hang on for a 1-0 win that sees them stay top and return to winning ways.
• Swansea move up to second as they get the better of fellow promotion contenders Watford thanks to Jamal Lowe's brace.
• A brace from Lucas Joao is also the decisive factor as Reading move up to fourth and come from behind to beat Huddersfield.
• Wycombe stay bottom despite taking an early lead against Middlesbrough, who go on to win 3-1 at Adams Park.
• Birmingham and Millwall's struggles continues as they fall to home defeats by Blackburn Rovers and Coventry City respectively.

A controversial Lewis Grabban penalty gives Forest all three points and moves them oout of the relegation zone.

It looked like Grabban may have kicked it twice when slipping as he took the penalty but that's now five unbeaten for Forest.

Barren run also continues for Birmingham.

Millwall's troubles continue.

Coventry raced into an early 2-0 lead before Jed Wallace's penalty gave the Lions hope.

But it wasn't enough and the Sky Blues take all three points.

Lucas Joao returns from injury in style to score twice as Reading come from a goal down at the interval to win it.

Jamal Lowe's double sees Swansea come from behind to beat Watford and go second in the table.

There goes Millwall hopes of a draw as Murray Wallace is dismissed for a second bookable offence.

A win on the road for Middlesbrough and Wycombe remain bottom of the table.

And that was pretty much the last action too at Carrow Road.

Norwich hold on for a first win in three matches to stay top.

They are four points clear as it stands thanks to Emi Buendia's second-half strike.

Off the post for Barnsley deep in stoppage time and so close to a dramatic equaliser!

Huddersfield go close once again to a leveller.

Isaac Mbenza again the man involved for the Terriers as he slides an effort just wide of the left post from Juninho Bacuna's through ball.

Couple of minutes plus stoppages remaining.

Coventry miss a chance to restore their two-goal advantage as Bartosz Bialkowski does well to deny Callum O'Hare as he races clear through on goal.

Feel like it's just not going to be Preston's day.

This time Ben Davies hits the crossbar for the hosts with a powerful shot from about 12 yards out.
