Massive, massive win for Wayne Rooney's Derby!

The Rams climb three points clear of the relegation zone.

Krystian Bielik's first-half goal proved to be enough to give the Rams victory.

Bournemouth, who brought former England man Jack Wilshere on late on, have now lost two successive games without scoring and slip to fourth.

    Reading 3-0 Coventry

So close for a consolation for Coventry as Mac Biamou heads an effort against the post.

That's unlucky. The scoreline doesn't reflect how well the Sky Blues have played tonight.

    Derby 1-0 Bournemouth

Jack Wilshere is on for his second debut for Bournemouth.

It's the midfielder's first ever league appearance in the EFL.

Can he rescue a point for the Cherries?

  11. Postpublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

    Reading 3-0 Coventry

Sam Baldock, how have you missed that?

The Reading striker is in acres of space completely unmarked. He runs into the box on his own with only the keeper to beat and he rolls his effort well wide.

    Deary me.

  12. First EFL keeper to score since 2016published at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

    League Two latest

    Tom KingImage source, Rex Features

In light of Newport goalkeeper Tom King scoring for the Exiles against Cheltenham, do you know how long it's been since a goalkeeper scored in the English Football League?

Almost five years. That's how long. The last time a keeper scored in the EFL was when Barry Roche scored for Morecambe against Portsmouth in February 2016.

Elsewhere in the fourth tier tonight, Josh Gordon's header has put Walsall a goal up against...Morecambe, funnily enough.

Elsewhere, fellow promotion hopefuls Doncaster are 1-0 up at home against Rochdale thanks to Jon Taylor's goal.

Simon Hoyle: The Championship is a marathon, not a sprint. Have to grind out results, win dirty. Not about playing fancy football.

Definitely a night where a few results might have to be ground out.

  15. Postpublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

    Derby 1-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth make their third change of the evening but former England man Jack Wilshere remains on the bench for the time being.

Sam Surridge is on for Arnaut Danjuma as the Cherries look for a leveller.

  16. goal

GOAL: Reading 3-0 Coventrypublished at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

    John Swift (73 mins)

Wow. Pick that one out, son.

John Swift, directly from the free-kick that follows Kyle McFadzean's sending off, fires into the top corner from long range.

That is stunning, however Swift is subbed off no sooner does he find the net.

  17. RED CARDpublished at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

    Reading 2-0 Coventry

Kyle McFadzean is shown his second yellow of the evening and sees red after a rash challenge on the onrushing Ovie Ejaria.

Deary me, it goes from bad to worse for Coventry.

  18. League Two latestpublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

We've had another goal in League Two and it's strugglers Southend who've taken the lead at home against Cambridge.

Simeon Akinola heads home from Sam Hart's cross after a corner to find the net. That will take them out of the drop zone.

    Joe MasonImage source, Rex Features

Remember when I said MK Dons striker Joe Mason had one goal all season before tonight? Well, he's now up to four.

The former Wolves man has completed his hat-trick inside 28 minutes to put the hosts 3-0 up against managerless Fleetwood.

He certainly benefitted from some pretty dreadful defending from veteran Charlie Mulgrew for it but he wasn't asking any questions as he slotted in.

  20. Postpublished at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

    Derby 1-0 Bournemouth

So close to a second for the hosts!

Matthew Clarke rises highest to meet Nathan Byrne's corner but his effort is hacked off the line.
