    Albania 0-1 England

That long ball forward for a darting Sterling is a fruitful one for England. It brings them another corner, which is driven in and finds Kane, but he lifts his finish over the bar.

Andy Watson: Why is this training session being televised? And why are they practising playing without running?

Ste Russell: If England play 4 at the back in big games we will get found out. Stones doesn’t need to defend for City and Maguire just very average.

  4. Postpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

England turn the screw. Foden finds Walker down the right and his low cross is hacked desperately away by an Albanian defender.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

England hit the woodwork for a second time!

Sterling does really well to dart in round the back of the defence down the right before holding the ball up to find Foden on the edge of the box. Foden hits his shot first time with Berishe dropping low to tip it onto the post and behind.

It is that speed of thought and movement that will bring England more goals here.

  6. Danes make it sixpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Denmark 6-0 Moldova

It took Denmark three minutes after the restart to make it 6-0 against Moldova in their Group F match.

Nice forward Kasper Dolberg has grabbed his second.

This could get scary for the Moldovans.

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It made a difference when Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips got forward towards the end of the half.

When England are more adventurous they look more threatening.

Albania worked hard, pressed together and made England go back.

  9. Postpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

Shocking foul by the referee, who takes out Keidi Bare with a shoulder barge. Surely a booking?

The accidental collision results in an uncontested drop ball for the home side.

  11. Northern Ireland trail at the breakpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    HT: Northern Ireland 0-1 USA

The USA lead by the one goal from Gia Reyna at the break - Northern Ireland will probably be a bit frustrated with that one.

Don't forget it is just a friendly before they play Bulgaria on Wednesday in their World Cup qualifier - follow along here.

Stephen Miller: A really stodgy first half from England. I don’t know why the pundits keep talking about the depth of talent in this squad, half of those on the pitch for England are astonishingly ordinary.

Wayne Ellis: Need to get Ward-Prowse on at HT, especially with chances from open play at a premium

  13. Shaw thingpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

Luke Shaw has assisted a goal in each of his last three starts for England - one in 2015 v Switzerland, 2018 v Spain and today v Albania.

Making himself undroppable for club and country.

  14. 'England committed more men'published at 17:51 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Albania made it hard and England stayed patient.

There was a difference between the end of the half from the start where they were content to keep the ball.

England committed more men towards the end of the half.

  15. Spain up against itpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    HT: Georgia 1-0 Spain

Is there a shock on the cards?

The 2010 champions are a goal down against Georgia courtesy of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's effort two minutes before half-time.

Spain drew against Greece in midweek - defeat here would be unthinkable.

Sean Turner: First time England inject a bit of pace in their play and it produces. Maybe try that a couple more times.

John McMahon: Luke Shaw has been back in the England side for less than 40 minutes, and he just assisted Harry Kane's first international goal since November 2019. The same quality and incisiveness he's been showing for Man Utd all season.

  18. Postpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

Kane's goal ends a bit of an international drought for the otherwise prolific Spurs striker. It is his first strike since netting in the 2-0 win over Kosovo in Euro 2020 qualifying in November 2019.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Albania 0-1 England

How on earth is it not 2-0?!

Raheem Sterling floats a brilliant ball to the back post where Harry Kane arrives only to plant a shot against the underside of the bar from near point-blank range.

England should have two. Kane should have two.

  20. They thought it was all over...published at 17:42 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    Denmark 5-0 Moldova

Group F side Denmark have been incredible in the opening half of this qualifier against Moldova.

Goals from Jens Stryger Larsen and Mathias Jensen make the scoreline even more handsome.

    Might we see 10?
