It was all going so well for St Johnstone. An excellent first-half performance from Callum Davidson's side and a deserved lead through Liam Gordon's header.

However, Aberdeen fought back just before half-time and got level through that Sam Cosgrove penalty.

It's not been a great game, and not much to write about.

Livingston did have a wonderful chance inside the first minute, with Jon Guthrie's close range header brilliantly saved by Danny Rogers.

After that though it's been poor fare from both sides.

That's now four and a half games without a goal for Kilmarnock, or 405 minutes.

A bit of pressure from Kilmarnock as half-time approaches. Kirk Broadfoot peels away from his marker to meet a cross but he can't direct his header anywhere near the goal.

Things were going quite well for Ross County.

They'd had the better opportunities and seemed to be in control of the game, limiting St Mirren to just one long-range effort.

But Josh Reid's second yellow card has put a real negative spin on things for John Hughes' side.

They'll have to play the rest of the game with 10-men, against a St Mirren side already growing in confidence.

Aberdeen have a penalty after Sam Cosgrove is pushed in the box.

Sam Cosgrove is denied by Zander Clark as Aberdeen press for an equaliser.

The hosts have done next to nothing but they are almost level as Jeando Fuchs smacks in a shot from the edge of the box and Trevor Carson does fantastically well to tip it on to the post.

That is not what Ross County needed. At all.

18-year-old Josh Reid trudges off, absolutely devastated, as he receives his second yellow card.

The left-back pulled down Kyle McAllister on two separate occasions and his afternoon comes to a premature end.

It's all Odsonne Edouard's own work as Celtic almost grab the opener.

The striker darts into the box and shows nimble footwork to keep four Hamilton players at bay then get a shot away that flies narrowly over the bar.

Scott Pittman meets a deep cross and heads it beyond Kilmarnock goalkeeper Danny Rogers, but the assistant referee's flag brings the celebrations to a halt.

A lovely turn and shot from Scotland and Motherwell full-back Stephen O'Donnell but an offside flag is up.

Some confusion as referee Bobby Madden gives a free kick right on the edge of the box as Trevor Carson boots clear. Time wasting, maybe?

It's indirect and and the shot from Shankland slams into the defensive wall.

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson has something to say about it and is promptly booked by Madden.

After an eventful start in Dingwall, the game has turned into a bit of a snoozefest.

Neither side have created a chance since that early double save from Jak Alnwick.

The home defence is caught napping again as a diagonal cross from the left finds Allan Campbell all alone in the penalty area. The midfielder is stretching and can only loop a header onto the roof of the net.

St Johnstone have made a really bright start, adapting better to the very windy conditions. They've settled well, and have a bit of a grip on proceedings against an Aberdeen side who have yet to really get going.

Accies somehow survive as Celtic break quickly and Jeremie Frimpong sends over a lovely cross from the right.

Leigh Griffiths meets it with a firm header but the ball rattles off the left-hand upright and away to safety.

Griffiths goes close again moments later, with Kyle Gourlay tipping over the striker's piledriver.

Before the match, Kilmarnock's Kirk Broadfoot laid a strip on the centre circle with the name of David Sneddon on the back, as the club held a minute silence in tribute to their former player and manager, who died this week, aged 84.
