    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

Tell you what, apart from the speculative goal, Wolves have created absolutely nothing.

VItinha's effort has been their only shot on target thus far.

That's a battle that's been bubbling for a while now between the centre forward Harry Cardwell and Willy Boly - they're both big strong physical characters and neither one wants to give up on the other. I can see that bubbling throughout the match and possibly a card or two coming later.

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

A looping ball in the air sees Willy Boly come hurtling into the back of Harry Cardwell.

That will feel like being hit by a truck.

Cardwell's main concern is to make sure all his hair is in the right place.

  4. Chorley are working incredibly hardpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2021

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

    Simon Stone

Chorley's players are working really hard to close their opponents down.

They are still sprinting and responding to the shouts of their coaching team in front of me.

Most of these guys are part-time. There will be a few tired bodies in the morning.

  5. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

Wolves make an absolute mess of that and Nuno Espirito Santo is rightly furious.

Joao Moutinho's ball out wide to Ki-Jana Hoever is took heavy and the ex-Liverpool man screws a cross out of play on the stretch.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 36 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

WIllem Tomlinson booked for Chorley as he chops down Ki-Jana Hoever who had made an excellent burst forward from the right.

Wolves have a free-kick 25 yards out to the right.

  7. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

European champion Joao Moutinho running the show with 51 passes so far, Chorley have had 69 in total as a team.

  8. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

The good, old non-league cry of "don't foul, don't foul" goes up as Wolves start another move.

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

Half an hour gone and non-league Chorley are well in this game.

Teams are separated by a Vitinha wonderstrike, his first senior goal.

  11. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

Chorley have a spell of possession in the final third but cannot find the right pass on each occasion.

They just need to try and squeeze a ball out and hope it runs their way.

  12. 'Chorley still look organised'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2021

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

    Jermaine Beckford
Ex-Leeds Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Even though Chorley have gone behind they have kept the structure of the team so no one is chasing a ball without having a team mate or two going with him. The organisation is still there. They know they're still in the game as long as they keep it tight defensively and win the ball back when they have an opportunity to.

Wolves knock it around but then Conor Coady tries an ambitious ball forward from the back which drifts straight out of play.

  15. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

86% possession so far for Wolves.

  16. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

Willem Tomlinson likes to hit them from range, another effort from the midfield, on the bounce but it drops wide of goal.

  17. Difference in classpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2021

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Victory Park

Chorley gave Vitinha too much room to size up his shot and good players can choose where they put it, even from distance.

Would a better keeper have kept it out? Maybe. It will settle a few visiting nerves though. Chorley started well.

No Premier League goalkeeper would have saved that.

  20. 'What a finish'published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2021

    Chorley 0-1 Wolves

    Jermaine Beckford
Ex-Leeds Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

If you can't get through them as Wolves haven't been able to do then just hit it from 30 yards. What a strike into the top corner - nobody saw that coming. Absolutely leather it just with the laces. What a finish that was.
