  9. Can Tigres make history?published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2021

No team from outside Europe and South America has ever won the Fifa Club World Cup.

Two African teams - TP Mazembe (2010) and Raja Casablanca (2013) - and two sides from Asia - Kashima Antlers (2016) and Al-Ain (2018) - have lost the final.

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool defender on BBC Sport

Tigres are surprise finalists but they're a dangerus team on the counter-attack. This will be a test for Bayern Munich, one I expect them to come through.

  11. All about Tigrespublished at 17:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2021

Mexican side Tigres won last season's Concacaf (the federation representing North America, Central America and the Caribbean) Champions League.

They are the first side from that continent to ever reach the Fifa Club World Cup final.

This season's Mexican league is only four games old, with Tigres sitting eighth.

Their star player is former France striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.

  15. No Muller todaypublished at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2021

There was a blow for Bayern Munich hours before kick-off, as forward Thomas Muller - who played in the semi-final - tested positive for Covid.

He is isolating and will quarantine when the club return to Germany.

The rest of the team were tested again on Thursday but were all negative.

Midfielders Leon Goretkza and Javi Martinez had stayed in Munich under quarantine after testing positive for Covid.

Defender Jerome Boateng is out for "personal reasons".
