West Ham United

Since the start of the 2009-10 season, West Ham's Craig Dawson has scored more league goals than any other defender in England's top four tiers (41).

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has gone seven league games without a goal and you can see he is a man stripped of that early season confidence. Alioski's pocket is picked in the Everton half and the Blues forward is fed in for a limp shot past the post. Richarlison had made a superb run on his outside and is fuming he didn't get the pass.

Brighton played really well in their win over Tottenham. Spurs had a lot of possession but didn't do anything with it - Brighton had much less, but created umpteen chances.

As I keep saying, the Seagulls always struggle to score a second goal to finish games off - but one was enough for them to see it through on Sunday.

Graham Potter's side are decent defensively, and they gave Liverpool a really good game when they drew 1-1 on the south coast in November, but I just feel Jurgen Klopp's side are playing with a lot of belief at the moment.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa have lost 15 of their last 17 Premier League games in the month of February, drawing at Cardiff (2014) and winning against Norwich (2016) in the others.

It is frantic stuff, this. Everton are one pass away from being in on the Leeds goal and then the home side are one incisive delivery from seeing the whites of Olsen's eyes.

West Ham's winning run is over and they found it hard going against Liverpool on Sunday - they didn't create many chances in the first half and, as the game opened up, it quickly got away from them.

I am going to go with Aston Villa here. They have played well since returning to action after the coronavirus outbreak at the club at the start of January, and their attack can cause the Hammers problems.

For a second it looks like Everton are in as Richarlison drives towards the box. He looks to swing over a low cross for another Sigurdsson close-range finish but Cooper slides in to intercept. Flag was up too.

Ben Davies is a lovely lad. He’s a really hard working learner, a genuine kid. He wanted to keep improving and when we gave him those opportunities when he was 19 or 20 where he went to Fleetwood and York to get some game time, he jumped at the opportunity because it was great experience for him - all that experience at a young age has allowed him to knuckle down at Preston and show his capabilities.

To get a move to Liverpool it’s probably surprised quite a lot of people but it’s a fantastic move for him and a great opportunity.

Leeds can't get the ball away as Everton come forward. The ball falls to Sigurdsson, who curls a shot straight into Meslier's grasp.

Kalvin Phillips is down (don't worry, Leeds fans) as he is caught by an elbow from Gylfi Sigurdsson. Nothing intentional in it, though.

Soon after, a dire pass at the back from Leeds almost gives Richarlison a run in on goal but his footing lets him down and the chance is gone.

Andre Gomes loses his footing and almost takes out Marcelo Bielsa on the touchline. Thankfully, the Leeds boss is nimble enough to evade him.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, Olsen pulls out a superb save to tip over Pascal Struijk's header from a corner.

Lucas Digne is such a weapon for Everton down this left side. He is found again and able to sling over another cross, but this one is far less threatening and sails over everyone.
