  1. County must be more resolute - Hughespublished at 17:54

    Ross County v Motherwell (18:00)

Ross County boss John Hughes tells BBC Sportsound pre-match: "We have to be more resolute. We lost poor goals on Saturday [against Rangers]. We can't do that tonight.

"It’s a tough, tough game. I feel Motherwell are in a false position. But they are vulnerable and we are at home.

"It's important that we start really well and let Motherwell know they are in a game. We have worked the players ever so hard."

Scott Wright starts for Aberdeen, despite agreeing a deal to sign for arch rivals Rangers in summer, a decision that is unlikely to go down well with the club's support. The only change Aberdeen make from their 2-0 win over Motherwell is Ross McCrorie, who has returned earlier than expected from injury, coming in for Funso Ojo who is out of the squad altogether.

  6. Cup half-full for Saintspublished at 17:45

    St Johnstone v Aberdeen (18:00)

St Johnstone and Aberdeen is an encounter that sees two teams who must be feeling pretty good about themselves.

Saints in particular will be bristling with positivity after booking their place in the League Cup final.

And while that joy is justified, manager Callum Davidson will be keen to stress to his players that, for now, they must park any thoughts of silverware and focus solely on their Premiership campaign.

And with his side sitting ninth – and just four points off the bottom – they have plenty to occupy their minds going into the visit of the Dons.

Aberdeen returned to winning ways with an impressive win over Motherwell last time out.

It was a result which saw the Dons move back up to third, and they will be determined to stay there - something that they will be assured of if can get the three points in Perth tonight.
