    Brentford 0-1 Bristol City

Bristol City haven't seen a huge amount of the ball since that goal, mind you.

It's very much all Brentford now, with Sergi Canos first having a shot blocked and then firing narrowly wide of Daniel Bentley's near post.

Bentley, of course, a former Bees goalkeeper.

It's all square at the break between Rotherham and Derby.

GOAL: Brentford 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Zak Vyner (3 mins)

    Who saw this coming?!

Bristol City, in their classic purple and lime away strip, have done all the attacking in the opening three minutes and Owura Edwards wins a free-kick on the left.

The ball in is a dangerous one, too, and Zak Vyner arrives at the far post to stab home.

  4. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

The Millers have ended this first half like they started it - on the front foot.

Clark Robertson and Jamie Lindsay both have attempts at goal, but both fail to hit the target.

Brentford v Bristol City (19:45 GMT)

The two teams are out at Brentford Community Stadium, where kick-off in our second Championship game this evening is just a few moments away.

  7. Postpublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

    Rotherham's turn to attack!

And it's about as close as either side have come, too, as Michael Smith rifles in an effort from outside the area but his effort is tipped away by David Marshall.

    Unlucky.

  8. Postpublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

The Millers are absolutely up against it at the moment.

Colin Kazim-Richards has been a constant threat this evening and he races through on goal, but keeper Viktor Johansson charges out to smother the opportunity.

Subs: Daniels, Forrs, Reid, Roerslev, Zamburek, Pressley, Stevens, Gilbert, Haygarth.

Subs: O'Leary, Moore, Bakinson, Paterson, Pearson, Palmer, Wells, Bell.

  10. Postpublished at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

And that's the nearest nearly moment yet!

Graeme Shinnie's corner falls to Martyn Waghorn, but he can only divert his effort narrowly over the bar from close range.

Wayne Rooney's side are well and truly on top.

  11. Postpublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

Another nearly moment for the Rams!

Colin Kazim-Richards plays a one-two with Kamil Jozwiak, but Millers skipper Richard Wood just about nips across to prevent a strike at goal.

  12. Postpublished at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

We've passed the midway point of this first half and we've still had just one shot on target between the two teams.

Derby are certainly growing into the game, however.

  13. Postpublished at 19:20 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

The Rams are on the front foot once more down the right but another cross - with Colin Kazim-Richards again the target - is turned behind for a corner, which is comfortably cleared.

  14. Postpublished at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

Derby have now had their first sight of goal.

Jason Knight is played into the Rotherham box by Martyn Wagorn but his low attempt across goal is well cut out by goalkeeper Viktor Johansson.

It's an important intervention by the Millers stopper, with Colin Kazim-Richards lurking at the far post.

  15. Clapping for Captain Tompublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

Before kick-off tonight, both sets of players joined in applause for Captain Sir Tom Moore, who died on Tuesday.

    The match itself remains goalless.

  16. Postpublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

Rotherham have actually made a pretty good start here.

After Jamie Lindsay wins a corner, the set-piece falls to Michael Smith but his attempt comes back off a team-mate and bounces away.

  17. Postpublished at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

These two teams only met in the return fixture at Pride Park on 16 January - a match Rotherham won 1-0.

And it's the Millers who've had the first chance to score tonight, too, as Ben Wiles is played through on David Marshall's goal but slips at the vital second.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:01 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Derby

Exactly 24 hours later than originally planned, Rotherham against Derby is under way.

We've got another 50 minutes or so to worry about that match in west London, though, so we'll concentrate on South Yorkshire for now - starting with the line-ups...

Rotherham United: Johansson, Wood, Wiles, Robertson, Lindsay, Harding, Ihiekwe, Olosunde, Smith, Crooks, Barlaser.

Subs: Vickers, Cooper, A MacDonald, Giles, Clarke, S MacDonald, Wing, Hirst, Ladapo.

We were given rather more notice about tonight's second match - although even this one is a case of third time lucky, having twice been called off in January because of Covid-19 cases.

It's all systems go at Brentford Community Stadium tonight, however, and the Bees will be eyeing up the three points that'd take them above Swansea City and up to second.

They face a Bristol City side every bit as inconsistent as their current ninth place would suggest. The Robins have won seven and lost eight of their past 15 league and cup games.
