So, another stellar night in the Championship draws to a close as Preston edge this Lancashire derby against Blackburn and make up for their 3-0 loss to them at Deepdale earlier this season.

Now, weather permitting, I'll be back first thing tomorrow to bring you the early kick-off in the Championship as Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest face off before the 15:00 GMT fixtures.

For now though, I'm off to prep for tomorrow, watch WandaVision and go to sleep.

    Thanks for joining us!

    FT: Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Preston striker Ched Evans told Sky Sports:

"It's massive for us. It's a derby. I thought we played well today and were difficult to break down.

"We produced our gameplan tonight and scored two good goals. We're really pleased overall.

"[On new additions] We've lost some big players in this window but we've got good players in. We have nine new players in but we've gelled already."

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

All over at Ewood Park and Preston have held on for a valuable three points in this derby against Blackburn.

It's honours even as far as this fixture is concerned, with Preston atoning for their 3-0 home defeat by Blackburn at Deepdale earlier this season.

The two sides are now level on 39 points as it stands.

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Five minutes added on and Preston haul off Ched Evans for Jayson Molumby.

Can Blackburn find a dramatic late equaliser?

  6. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

My word, what a goalkeeping mishap that might have been had that been given!

Brad Potts fires goalbound and it takes a deflection before Blackburn keeper Thomas Kaminski goes to his right as the ball bobbles into the net to his left.

Fortunately for the hosts, Kaminski's blushes are spared after Preston are correctly flagged for offside.

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Another change for Blackburn as Ben Brereton replaces Lewis Travis.

Meanwhile, Brad Potts fires a deflected shot away for Preston despite his teammate Ched Evans being in acres of space to his left.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 85 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Liam Lindsay goes into the book for Preston after putting in a heavy challenge on Bradley Dack.

Just over five minutes of normal time remain.

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Blackburn have the ball in the net...but it's flagged for offside.

Bradley Dack is the man to tap in from close range but replays show he was clearly offside.

    Good decision.

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Blimey, Emil Ris really should have wrapped this up for Preston moments after his introduction.

He waltzes into the Blackburn box and takes time to pick his shot but it's collected by keeper Thomas Kaminski, who clearly took advantage of that extra second he took to shoot.

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Sam Gallagher is replaced by Taylor Harwood-Bellis for the hosts as they make another change.

The Blackburn man looks pretty darn unhappy to be hauled off.

Meanwhile, Daniel Johnson and Tom Barkhuizen come off for Preston with Emil Ris and Brad Potts coming on.

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Having been frantic not so long ago, this game has calmed down a fair bit in these closing stages.

Blackburn are getting ready to make a fourth change of the match. Preston are still yet to make a substitution.

  13. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

We're into the final 20 minutes and it's all Blackburn still.

Nervy times for fans of both sides as we enter the final stages!

  14. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Preston are on the ropes now and Blackburn are doing well to pepper their box with deliveries.

Bradley Dack and Barry Douglas both try to get a shot away before North End regain the ball.

    Frantic.

  15. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

So close to a Blackburn equaliser as, from a corner to the hosts, Bradley Dack is found at the far post.

He heads onto the roof of the net and Preston hold onto their lead.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

A third substitution for Blackburn as Ryan Nyambe is withdrawn for Harvey Elliott.

Can the Liverpool loanee bring Rovers level?

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 62 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Ryan Ledson goes into the book for a heavy handed challenge on Blackburn's Tyrhys Dolan.

Derby or not, I'm surprised that's not red as he's absolutely gone in on him, there.

  18. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Good game, this. Plenty going on. Both sides giving it all. End to end.

Surely some more goals in this.

  19. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Some good link up play from Tyrhys Dolan and Stewart Downing as Blackburn push for a leveller from a set piece.

Downing lofts the ball to Dolan in the box but he can't quite get his shot away on target.

Then at the other end, Tom Barkhuizen scuffs his shot well wide of the mark having been played through by Greg Cunningham.

  20. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

Similar to the beginning of the first half, the opening stages of the second half is pretty scrappy and lacking in action.

Barry Douglas cynically kicks the ball away to concede a free-kick to Preston in midfield.
