    Watford 2-1 Derby

It got a bit nervy towards the end but in the end I think it's a deserved win for Watford.

Joao Pedro and Will Hughes scored within two first-half minutes to put them in control.

Derby had one controversially ruled out and a William Troost-Ekong own goal gave them hope, but Wayne Rooney's side didn't create enough in truth.

    William Troost-Ekong og

    Derby are back in this!

It goes down as a William Troost-Ekong own goal but it's all down to a quite beautiful cross from Nathan Byrne.

The ball is almost impossible to defend and it bounces up, hits Troost-Ekong and Daniel Bachmann can do nothing in the Watford goal.

    Watford 2-0 Derby

    Oh dear.

Derby have a free-kick 30 yards out and try an intricate routine, but Lee Gregory is penalised for fouling a Watford defender.

The visitors don't particularly look like scoring.

Ismaila Sarr's turn of pace is unbelievable.

The Watford forward cuts in off the right and ghosts past Max Bird but he snatches at his left-footed strike and it goes well wide.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 59 mins

    Watford 2-0 Derby

Wayne Rooney has seen enough and makes a double Derby change, with Graeme Shinnie and Patrick Roberts replaced by Lee Gregory and Kamil Jozwiak.

No Rams substitute has scored in the Championship this season - this would be a good time for that to change.
