    That's as far as we go here today on what has, from this end certainly, felt like an action-packed day in the EFL!

    In the Championship, Brentford have stretched their gap on third-placed Watford to three points after coming from behind to beat Stoke 2-1.

    Down at the bottom lowly Sheffield Wednesday blew a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Luton and, after Birmingham scored twice late on to beat QPR, they're six points adrift of safety.

    In League One, leaders Peterborough fought back to beat struggling Wigan 2-1 and second-placed Lincoln fought back from 2-0 down to lead Plymouth 3-2 only to eventually lose 4-3!

    Down in League Two, leaders Cambridge beat Port Vale and bottom side Grimsby lost to Harrogate.

    Birmingham City have opened up a five-point gap to the relegation places after coming from behind to beat QPR.

    With Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday both suffering defeats, the pressure is off the Blues for now.

    But the Millers and Owls have games in hand on the sides above them.

    Huddersfield and Coventry could be looking over their shoulders soon.

    Bottom club Wycombe Wanderers welcome leaders Norwich City tomorrow lunchtime.

    At the top of the table, Brentford are the big winners from today's Championship action.

    The Bees now have a three-point cushion to third-placed Watford after the Hornets lost at Bournemouth in the early kick-off.

    Swansea have a couple of games in hand to make up ground on the top two after defeat against Bristol City.

    Reading have consolidated their place in the top six with victory at Rotherham, while the Cherries are back in the play-off places after Cardiff's winning run came to an end.

    Promotion-chasing Swansea suffer just their second home defeat of the season.

    After Andre Ayew's penalty put the Swans ahead, Nahki Wells' strike, a goal direct from a corner and a charge-down on the keeper give the Robins all three points.

    It's victory in his first match in charge for new Bristol City boss Nigel Pearson.
