Anyway, that is me done for this evening. Thanks for joining me.

    FT: Real Madrid 2-0 Getafe

That was a pretty poor effort from Getafe who managed just one shot and even that wasn't even on target.

You'd have never known that Real Madrid had virtually a full team of players missing.

In 16 seasons in La Liga, Getafe have never scored fewer goals than the 17 they've manged from their 22 games this term.

Points secure for the hosts barring a miracle.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is smiling away in his technical area

This one is pretty much job done so Marcelo comes off for a rest and youngster Victor Chust gets a brief run and a first league appearance.

    Real Madrid 2-0 Getafe

Ferland Mendy has looked very comfortable as one of three central defenders for Real Madrid this evening.

That said, having Raphael Varane alongside him has to help. The talk is that Varane may leave Real this summer. Big boots to fill those.

  7. FULL-TIME - Juventus reach Coppa Italia finalpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2021

FT: Juventus 0-0 Inter Milan (2-1 agg)

Juve are through. They've held on and reach the Coppa Italia Final for the 20th time in their history.

That's at least three times more of any other side, with Roma (17) and Inter (13) next on that particular list.

Juventus 0-0 Inter Milan (2-1 agg)

Inter are having a real dig in Turin.

But Juve are still holding on, and have been helped by bringing their wily veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini off the bench for the final stages of the game.

Looks like that one is in added time.

    Real Madrid 2-0 Getafe

Getafe have lost 73.3% of their matches against Real Madrid in La Liga (22/30), their highest percentage against any opponent in Spain's top-flight.

I'm expecting that percentage to creep up slightly in about 15 minutes or so.

As I write that Marco Asensio is replaced by Isco for Real.

Jose Bordalas makes a couple of changes for Getafe.

Erick Cabaco and Marc Cucurella are replaced by David Timor and Enes Unal.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 71 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Getafe

You can't do that. Ferland Mendy just wrestles his man to the ground.

    Real Madrid 2-0 Getafe

Once tonight is done and dusted, the reigning Spanish champions Real Madrid, have got Valencia, Real Valladolid and Real Sociedad on the horizon in La Liga.

There's also the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie away to Atalanta in February.

This has been a decent enough performance but I'd imagine Zinedine Zidane will still be hoping to have a few of his troops back sooner rather than later.

    Ferland Mendy

Great goal. Anyone remember the saying 'follow your pass?'.

Ferland Mendy does just that driving forward through midfield and then carrying on to get on the end of Marcelo's inviting near-post cross.

Juventus 0-0 Inter Milan (2-1 agg)

Inter need goals but it's Juve that almost break the deadlock.

Dejan Kulusevski skips past Aleksandar Kolarov but Inter keeper Samir Handanovic is out to smother his effort. Good save to keep his side in the tie.

    Karim Benzema

    Goooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal.

It had to be. Vinicius Junior takes a touch out wide and then whips in a Beckham-esque cross from the right. Karim Benzema looks like he is ahead of the ball but slows his run and connects perfectly to guide it into the right corner.

    Real deserve that.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 55 mins

    Real Madrid 0-0 Getafe

Whatever has happened to Isco? Just watching him wrapping up on the bench as Real bring Sergio Arribas on for Marvin Park.

His stock must be pretty low with Zinedine Zidane.

Another chance for the hosts, this time Nacho directs a header just over.

    A goal is surely coming.

Juventus 0-0 Inter Milan (2-1 agg)

Signal of intent from Inter Milan, who need to score in Turin.

From what I can make out Matteo Darmian has made way for winger Ivan Perisic.

Probably a good move from Antonio Conte. I'm not sure you could ever describe Darmian as being an attacking full-back.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 48 mins

    Real Madrid 0-0 Getafe

Karim Benzema thinks he has scored for the hosts but Getafe keeper David Soria has other ideas, getting down to his right to tip the Real forward's effort away.
